Get Ready to hit the track. iRacing 2026 Season 3 is live now! NEW TRACK San Diego, California, USA NASCAR’s partnership with iRacing to push the boundaries of track design brought the sport back to Southern California for 2026, with Naval Base Coronado chosen as the host for the sport’s newest street race. Previously home to the Coronado Speed Festival, which primarily hosted vintage racing from 1997 to 2016, the layout joins the Chicago Street Course as the second street circuit to host the Cup Series in the sport’s modern era. The 16-turn Qualcomm Circuit doubles the length of the former Speed Festival circuit, extending for a total of 3.4 miles. The iRacing-designed circuit mixes high-speed straightaways with a handful of tighter turns, including 90-degree bends onto and off Rogers Road in Turns 2 and 3 and four sets of chicanes. Its highest-speed straightaways include the stretch after Carrier Corner (Turn 5) and the run up to the final left-hander bringing drivers back to the finish line. RESCAN Monterey County, California, USA WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is one of the classic North American road-racing circuits. A serpentine ribbon of pavement winding through the hills of Northern California’s Monterey Peninsula, Laguna Seca is the site of one of the most unique and famous corners in motorsport, The Corkscrew. Approached from a long, fast uphill run, the Corkscrew is a blind, plunging lefthander that is more akin to a ski slope than a piece of race track. Originally built by the Army Corps of Engineers on a corner of what was then Fort Ord, Laguna Seca opened in 1957 and in its half-century of operation has been host to every significant North American road-racing series, from the legendary Can-Am to the Trans-Am, IMSA Camel GT and CART Indy cars. Today, Mazda Raceway
Four new cars and one new track added to iRacing’s Season 3 2026 build New rescan of Laguna Seca also included Dirt racing AI and heats are also present in the latest build A new build of iRacing is available now, with Season 3 adding four new cars, one track and Dirt Racing AI. New cars in iRacing Season 3 2026 build BMW M2 Racing (G87) Euro NASCAR RC01 Two new Formula Vees (Cutlass and Conqueror) BMW M Hybrid V8 Evo (2026 upgrade) NASCAR Whelen Tour Modified and SK refreshes Season 3’s new cars include the BMW M2 Racing, which becomes the latest piece of base content in the sim (ie, free to all subscribers). The G87 version of the M2 sports car is a perfect entry-level race car, featuring manageable horsepower, rear-wheel drive, and a trick suspension. However, instead of the road-going M2’s six-cylinder engine, the M2 Racing uses a two-litre four-cylinder, so don’t expect it to sound as good as it goes. The Euro NASCAR RC01 is another entry-level stock car for the sim, with 400 bhp on tap from its V8 engine. It’s the official chassis of the NASCAR Euro Series, one of NASCAR’s four officially sanctioned championships outside the U.S. (Brazil, Canada and Mexico are the others). To top off the new cars, two different Formula Vees join the incumbent model in service and are included in a two-for-one deal. The existing car will be renamed the Formula Vee Classic, with the new models known as the Cutlass and Conqueror. All three cars will share the same physics, but have varying body styles. Although not a new car, the Evo version of the BMW M Hybrid V8 has also arrived in Season 3, with all owners of the original car automatically given the upgrade. The NASCAR

A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday. The interesting one this week is where Race A takes us: BB Raceway, the original-to-the-series circuit known as “Broad Bean Raceway,” and one of those layouts you can go months without seeing. The car is cute, but also likely doesn’t get much use. You’ll take on BB Raceway in the Toyota Sports 800 ’65, a little coupe that makes all of 43hp. With that little power to play with, the six laps here are less about outright pace and more about carrying momentum, working the draft, and picking your lines carefully. It’s a grid start, too, with the False Start Check active, so be careful. Race B is the week’s middle event: 10 laps of the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in Gr.4 machinery. The Indy layout is the shorter of Brands Hatch’s two configurations, so the laps tick by quickly. It’s a rolling start on Racing Hards with brake balance the only setting left open, and BOP set to (L). Race C is the “endurance”-flavored one: 15 laps at the Autodromo de Interlagos in Gr.3 cars, with a 2x fuel multiplier and a heavier 4x tire multiplier. There’s no mandatory pit stop listed, but there’s a catch. The race calls for both Racing Hard and Racing Medium tires, so you’ll be coming down pit lane at some point regardless to get both compounds used. BOP is set to (M), with brake balance again the only open setting. GT7 Daily Races (June 8): Race A - Track: BB Raceway (6 laps) - Car: Toyota Sports 800 ’65 — Event-Specified - Power/Weight/PP Limit: BOP (H) - Tires: Comfort Hard - Settings: Specified - Start Type: Grid Start (False

When iRacing secured the rights to create official NASCAR video games across PC and console in 2023, it felt obvious that it was going to release a new title each year. After all, that was the original plan by the previous licensees, plus including the year in the name of its first release, NASCAR 25, spoke volumes. However, it hasn’t been concrete that a ‘NASCAR 26’ was on the way until today, 8th June 2026. “The next version of NASCAR 25, which, as you can imagine, will be [called] NASCAR 26, is well into development, and I think you will see some news on that in the very near future,” said iRacing’s Vice President Marketing and Communications, Kevin Bobbitt, on the latest episode of the iRacing Downshift podcast. “We’ll say ‘hashtag soon’ for some news that’s coming, but I can’t say more than that. I’m excited about it, [there’s] some cool stuff that we’re working on. It follows a social media post by NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee and iRacing Executive Director, Dale Earnhardt Jr., in April that read: Discussion 1 Comment Join the discussion Join Traxion.gg to start discussing with members. Polyphony Digital CEO and Gran Turismo Producer Kazunori Yamauchi is also a proficient racing driver, and this week, he’ll take part in a very special race. The beloved racing game developer announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he’ll take part in the legendary Mille Miglia race, which will be hosted between June 9 and June 13 in Italy. The race used to be a demanding endurance event between 1927 and 1957. It was then turned into a regularity race for vintage cars, and it’s considered an extremely prestigious and legendary event among car enthusiasts. Yamauchi-san will take part in the Gran Turismo Driving Experience, which is a side event running alongside the main race, designed for modern cars. According to the developer, this is the first time a Japanese car has participated. He will drive a 1980 Toyota Supra in an all-Japanese team with a Lexus LFA and a Toyota 2000GT. Here’s the full translation of the original Tweet, posted in Italian and Japanese. “This year I’m participating in the Mille Miglia. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be driving a Toyota Supra (80) in the Gran Turismo Driving Experience. This is the first time a Japanese car has participated in the Mille Miglia, which is celebrating its 99th anniversary this year. It’s a historic moment. In addition to the Supra, an LFA and a 2000GT will also be competing within the same team. I look forward to meeting you along the Mille Miglia route.” Yamauchin-san also posted a number of pictures of his and his team’s cars. You can enjoy them below. This is certainly not the first time that Yamauchi-san has taken part in a legendary race. He has competed multiple times at the Nürburgring 24 Hours and more. Of course, his main call to fame remains the Gran Turismo series.

THE Supercar involved in a shocking Sandown 500 crash has found a new home. Chassis BJR 005 was the CoolDrive Commodore in which Tim Blanchard and Todd Hazelwood entered the 2017 Enduro Cup opener, only for the latter to be tipped into a high-speed flip following contact with Jonathon Webb in the co-driver qualifying race. The car was subsequently withdrawn and never raced again. It was instead repurposed as a simulator frame by then Brad Jones Racing engineer Tony Woodward, who this year joined the Blanchard Racing Team. Woodward’s relocation to Melbourne opened the door for a changing of the guard for BJR 005. “Tony moved house and Tim decided that he wanted to buy that car back,” BRT manager Kate Harrington told V8 Sleuth. “We don’t really have much space for it right now, it’s just sitting upstairs, but the plan in the new workshop will be we’ll have a dedicated sim area. “They’ve done it really well, they’ve done a really good job of the whole sim. “It pretty much exactly replicates a Supercar because it’s the chassis and frame and everything, so it’s pretty cool.” BRT is on track to move into its new purpose-built Boronia headquarters in January 2027.

With WipEout and F-Zero lying dormant, there’s room in the genre for new futuristic franchises. On Switch 2, FAST Fusion is Nintendo’s answer to F-Zero, while RedOut 2 is a worthy WipEout alternative on PC and consoles. Later this year, futuristic racing fans have another anti-gravity racer to look forward to in the form of AGX GP. First announced in January, AGX GP is described as a “heart-thumpingly fast” anti-gravity racer that has been in development for over four years by Typ1 Games. A new trailer released during the Future Games Show at Summer Game Fest showcases its blistering sense of speed and space-themed tracks filled with loops, banked turns and a clean visual style. It also demonstrates the game’s “ability-focused gameplay” inspired by titles such as Neon White and Ghostrunner. During races, the ships can perform up to five special abilities, including boosts and slams, while jumps and dashes let you avoid obstacles. There was a degree of cynicism among the racing game community last year, with YouTube algorithms favouring videos bemoaning the genre’s decline. To be fair, 2025 was hardly a standout year for the genre, with the disastrous launches of Project Motor Racing and Rennsport making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Racing games are often relegated as a niche genre, but this wasn’t always the case. In the 2000s, titles like Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport and Need for Speed achieved mainstream attention. For many, these seminal titles were a gateway into sim racing. In recent years, however, the genre has arguably stagnated. But this year feels different. Take last month’s release of Forza Horizon 6. In its first week, the open-world racer surpassed six million players. For a modern racing game, these numbers are staggering, putting the genre back into the limelight. This momentum looks set to continue, too. Beyond Forza Horizon 6, the annual Summer Game Fest show saw a deluge of new driving game announcements aimed at a broader audience than serious racing simulations. Developed by Maverick Studios, a developer made up of ex-Forza Horizon developers, Clutch was a clear standout. Following its initial unveiling, the studio’s debut driving game was showcased in a bombastic, cinematic trailer during Summer Game Fest, introducing the central characters. It follows Theo Martia (Tosin Cole), who lives a double life competing in sanctioned circuit events and illegal underground street races alongside his sister, Cass Martial (Little Simz). Dubbed as an AAA narrative-driven open-world driving game, Clutch’s production values are undeniably impressive, with its star-studded cast, slick presentation and deep vehicle customisation. With its gritty tone, underground racing and cop chases, Clutch looks like it will scratch that Need for Speed itch and give Forza Horizon some stiff competition. Hot Wheels Infinite Rush
