Attention MotoGP fans, Moza Racing has officially launched its new sim-racing controller, and as you may have seen from the image above, it’s not a steering wheel. Licensed by the premier motorcycle racing series itself, the Moza Racing MotoGP Controller was inspired by grand prix bike handlebars and is complete with a twist throttle, brake and clutch levers, and even forced feedback. Moza Racing has long been a staple in mainstream sim-racing equipment, but this is the first time the company has developed motorcycle-specific sim hardware. Like a real motorcycle cockpit, the controller has adjustable positions for the throttle, brake, and clutch to tailor to your preferences. The controller also has two riding modes—Direct Lean Mode and Countersteering Mode—which affect how you maneuver the bike in-game. Direct Lean Mode allows you to control the lean angle of the motorcycle by dipping the handlebar in whichever direction. If you want to go right, lean the bars to the right. Meanwhile, Countersteering Mode orients the handlebars as you would find them on a real motorcycle. At speed, you initiate a turn by countersteering to get the bike to lean in the direction you want it to go. Six RGB lights at the top can be configured as shift lights, vehicle status indicators, or flag indicators. For now, compatible games include MotoGP 26, GP Bikes, TrackDayR, Live for Speed, The Crew Motorfest, Assetto Corsa, and BeamNG.drive. Other games Moza Racing is preparing for are titles
- NASCAR 26 will allow players to edit driver ratings - Trackhouse Racing drivers reveal new feature in amusing presentation - Game set for release on 18th September 2026 NASCAR 26 will allow players to change individual driver ratings, it was revealed. In a knockabout video presentation with Trackhouse drivers Shane van Gisbergen, Ross Chastain and Connor Zilisch, the drivers predicted each other’s ratings in-game before revealing that it will be possible to edit each driver’s skill level. Ratings are split across seven NASCAR track types: Intermediate, Road Course, Super Speedway, Speedway, Concrete, Short Intermediate and ‘Martinsville’ (yes, Martinsville Speedway’s half-mile oval is considered so specialised it has its own category). These individual ratings are collated together to form an overall rating, with the trio of Trackhouse drivers wisely deciding that SVG was worthy of a ‘99’ for Road Course driving: in just three seasons he has become the joint-second-winningest road course driver in series history, sitting alongside Tony Stewart on eight, one behind Jeff Gordon on nine. Can we ban brands from using the word “ecosystem” when they announce new sim racing gear, please? At least until they can be trusted to use it responsibly. I’ve played with a fair few of the best racing wheels for PC, and it feels as though every time new gear comes along it’s with the promise of an expanding range of extras and add-ons “in the future”. “Start with the basics and expand over time as your racing habits evolve and your wallet recovers,” that sort of thing. Which is great, in theory. It’s a logical plan for both company and player, but the problem is this never seems to be a promise anyone keeps. There is an emerging exception to the trend though, and it’s from an unlikely place: Nacon. Likely known to most people for its range of controllers and peripherals, including the excellent Revolution X Unlimited, it launched its dedicated sim racing brand with some success last year. The Revosim RS Pure bundle: a 9Nm direct drive wheelbase, round wheel, and load cell pedals for £699/$799, undercut plenty of the established names on price while largely matching them on build quality and performance. It was a strong debut in isolation, but it also followed the ecosystem script with immediate talk of not just
- Primary Subject: PC Sim Racing Games (Low-Spec / GTX 960M Hardware) - Key Update: A roundup of ten classic, lightweight sim racing games that maintain 1080p performance on older 2015 laptops and remain legally available to buy. - Status: Confirmed - Last Verified: August 28, 2026 - Quick Answer: The best low-spec sim racing games you can still buy for older hardware include Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom, Automobilista, GTR 2, and DiRT Rally 2.0. The 2015 gaming laptop was a strange machine. It ran hot, throttled under load, and cost more than a decent used car in some markets. But plenty of them are still alive, and a GTX 960M or 970M paired with a fourth-gen i5 remains enough hardware for a serious sim racing habit. I went looking for titles that hold 1080p at sensible settings on that spec and, just as importantly, can still be bought today. That second condition eliminated more games than the first. Assetto Corsa is still the answer Kunos released Assetto Corsa in 2014, and it remains the most efficient piece of code in the genre. Vanilla AC will sit at 60fps on a 960M with medium to high settings and a reasonable grid. The catch is the mod stack everyone recommends. Content Manager is harmless, but Custom Shaders Patch with Sol or Pure adds dynamic lighting and weather that will bury an old mobile GPU. Run it clean, or run CSP with the heavy visual extensions switched off, and it holds up beautifully. RaceRoom is free, which helps RaceRoom Racing Experience asks nothing up front and monetizes through car and track packs. Its engine dates to 2013 and it barely touches the GPU, so a 970M is comfortable overkill. The bottleneck sits elsewhere. RaceRoom leans hard on single-thread CPU performance and scales poorly
Pimax and CONSPIT have teamed up on a special Crystal Light VR headset aimed directly at sim racers, although the new edition is a giveaway prize rather than a new retail product. Pimax has revealed the Pimax Crystal Light | CONSPIT Edition, a limited collaboration with sim racing hardware manufacturer CONSPIT announced on August 28. The headset features an exclusive CONSPIT logo and a purple rear comfort pad produced by Studioform, giving the existing Crystal Light a distinctive motorsport-themed appearance. Importantly, this is not a new Crystal Light model or hardware revision. Pimax is producing the CONSPIT Edition for a promotional giveaway, with the winner scheduled to be selected on September 7. The company has not announced pricing, wider availability or plans to sell the special edition separately. Underneath the CONSPIT branding, the headset retains the standard Crystal Light specification. It is a PCVR headset with 2880×2880 resolution per eye, 35 PPD, up to 120 Hz refresh rate and a claimed 110-degree horizontal field of view. It also uses glass aspheric lenses and 6DoF inside-out tracking. Pimax continues to position the Crystal Light heavily towards simulation users, highlighting sim racing alongside flight simulation as one of its main use cases. The headset supports an optional Mini-LED local-dimming configuration and is compatible with Pimax’s Lighthouse faceplate, although it does not include eye tracking. The collaboration is therefore more notable for Pimax’s continued push into the sim racing hardware market and its partnership with CONSPIT than for introducing new VR technology. For now, the Crystal Light | CONSPIT Edition remains a one-off promotional version rather than the start of a newly announced product line. See you on the track! Maverick Games wants to “try and win Game of the Year” with Clutch Forza Horizon 5’s former creative director and Clutch Creative Director and CEO, Mike Brown, explains why he left Playground Games to work on the new racing IP. Before establishing Maverick Games to work on the upcoming open-world racer Clutch, Mike Brown worked on the Forza Horizon series at Playground Games and was the creative director of the fifth entry. Leaving an established franchise to work on a new IP was inherently risky, but Brown felt compelled to do something different in the driving genre. “I’ve been at Playground for a long time. We’ve shipped some great games. And for me, in order to get myself up in the morning and then drive at things, I need to set myself difficult-to-reach goals that might be impossible,” he said. “There was a risk of getting complacent” working on Forza Horizon “With FH5, I was like, right, got to win a BAFTA. Want to get Game of the Year. Everyone says a driving game can’t win Game of the Year.” Ultimately, Forza Horizon 5 won the Innovation in Accessibility Award at The Game Awards 2021, but it was not eligible for the coveted Game of the Year award. “Due to annoying date windows, we were available to be submitted for every one of the game awards, but not Game of the Year because we launched a few days too late,” he explained. “That had an earlier submission window.” It did, however, win numerous Game of the Year awards at games media outlets, including IGN. “That’s obviously a great achievement for the team,” Brown reflected. “It’s amazing, because that franchise never got close to a Game of the Year nomination previously. But it then leaves us as leaders thinking, right, what’s
With a credit-card-crippling season of games on the way, we've been hot on the hunt for fantastic freebies that only charge you time and immersive energy. And Epic Games has just hit that nail on the head. Rather than dropping demos that lead to more expenses, Epic Games Store offers weekends of free games. And this time, the platform has dropped two stellar titles that are perfect pastimes for a variety of gamers. The free games come in the form of a fun, cartoonish, narration-heavy Starfield alternative and a game that somehow sits smack-bang in between the cosy gamer-girl and the sports-sim genres. Breathedge Dubbed Subnautica meets Prey, Breathedge is a space-survival sim where the fate of your existence hangs in the webbed feet of a chicken. The concept sounds bonkers, but the puzzling title is less quirky than it sounds, with a strong narrative core and rewarding progression. Advert "Survive in outer space! Together with your immortal chicken, discover the truth behind your sudden spaceship crash," the description reads. "Craft tools, pilot vehicles, and even control space stations to survive and explore the wreckage." Breathedge comes as an Epic Games freebie ahead of its sequel title, which is set to launch in full on August 31. Completing this title perfectly tees up its successor, which promises to iron out the wrinkles with a deeper story-driven approach. Now, don't get put off by its appearance, as this is the 9/10 gem we mentioned - and it's worth the plaudits. The horse racing simulator is Nintendogs on steroids, giving you complete control of a struggling stable and horses who love to gallop but are
Rockstar’s new GTA VI Extended Look shows much more than another collection of street races, revealing a dedicated racing circuit, competition-prepared cars and structured events alongside street and off-road racing. GTA VI appears ready to give racing a considerably bigger role than previous Grand Theft Auto games. Rockstar’s Extended Look, released on August 27, provides the clearest official evidence yet, showing a genuine wheel-to-wheel race taking place on a permanent asphalt circuit rather than another point-to-point event on public roads. The footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5, according to Rockstar. During the circuit sequence, the player competes against a full group of race-prepared cars while a dedicated interface displays race position, lap information and timing, with other competitors also visible around the circuit on the minimap. What makes the sequence particularly interesting is the presentation of the cars themselves. Several appear prepared specifically for competition, carrying large rear wings, racing liveries and sponsor-style graphics rather than simply being modified road cars gathered for an informal street event. That does not make GTA VI a racing simulator, nor does it confirm professional championships, qualifying sessions, pit stops or racing regulations. Rockstar has not detailed any of those systems. What the footage does establish is that structured circuit racing will exist as a distinct activity, complete with the basic information expected from an organised race. The circuit has already generated comparisons with Sebring International Raceway, which would make geographical sense because Leonida is Rockstar’s fictional interpretation of Florida. However, Rockstar has not licensed or confirmed Sebring, and the track visible in GTA VI does not appear to be a one-to-one recreation of the real circuit. Earlier leaked information and community mapping have associated the facility with the name Gellhorn International Raceway, but Rockstar has not officially confirmed that name either.
Key takeaways - Honoring a legend: Chip Ganassi Racing unveiled a retro 1996 livery for Álex Palou at the Laguna Seca season finale, paying tribute to the late Alessandro Zanardi. - 30th anniversary of “The Pass”: The design marks 30 years since Zanardi’s famous overtake on Bryan Herta at the Corkscrew in September 1996. - Championship on the brink: Palou leads the 2026 IndyCar title race by 91 points over Kyle Kirkwood heading into the Milwaukee doubleheader ahead of Laguna Seca. Chip Ganassi Racing will honor motorsport icon Alessandro Zanardi at the 2026 IndyCar Series season finale at Laguna Seca (September 4–6). Championship leader Álex Palou will run a specialized livery inspired by the target lightning-bolt design driven by Zanardi in 1996—the year Ganassi captured its first category title alongside Honda. While Jimmy Vasser secured the 1996 championship drivers’ crown, Zanardi etched his name into racing lore at Laguna Seca on September 8, 1996, executing “The Pass” on Bryan Herta through the Corkscrew on the final lap to take victory. The tribute carries added weight following Zanardi’s passing on May 1, 2026. The updated livery on Palou’s #10 Honda integrates the bold red hues and lightning graphics characteristic of Ganassi’s 1996 fleet, blended with modern primary sponsor accents. “I’m excited to have the lightning livery on the car,” Palou stated. “We’re going to race in memory of Alessandro Zanardi. We’re going to race at Laguna, at that track, in that corner, and on top of that, it’s 30 years since the anniversary of Ganassi and Honda’s first title in IndyCar. So we’re going to give everything for the fans and for ourselves too. Hopefully, it’s a great race for us in the #10.“ Palou arrives at the final stretch of the season on the verge of securing Ganassi’s record-breaking 19th

Gamescom 2026: National Championship Air Races Coming Oct. 13 for MSFS 2024 Today, at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, Microsoft has confirmed that the National Championship Air Races will arrive in MSFS 2024 on Oct. 13, after the initial announcement at the Xbox Games Showcase in June. Read Microsoft’s post here. The announcement was made at Gamescom 2026, where attendees also had the opportunity to try out the new racing mode. Microsoft had previously confirmed these National Championship Air Races, which are scheduled to be released sometime this autumn, without a specific date. The new Racing mode combines two locations. You will be able to race on the classic Reno course in Nevada, previously featured in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, as well as the new Roswell course in New Mexico. Microsoft says it is also introducing an aircraft wear-and-tear system, meaning penalties are added for how aggressively aircraft are operated over the course of a race. Microsoft says it worked with the Reno Air Racing Association (RARA), along with several different aircraft owners and pilots, to recreate each participating aircraft and its configuration. The article continues below the ad Five types will be available, divided up into what Microsoft calls “classes”. These include the Unlimited Class, featuring the P-51 Mustang, the T-6 Class, using the North American T-6 Texan, the Biplane Class, using the Aviat Pitts Special S1S, and the Jet Class, using the Aero Vodochody Aero L-39 Albatros. A fifth category, STOL, is being introduced to Microsoft Flight Simulator air racing for the first time. STOL stands for short take-off and landing, and this mode will feature a one-versus-one drag racing format, Microsoft says. So, compared with the previous Reno Air Races for MSFS 2020, the new version for MSFS 2024 will include the Roswell venue, STOL racing, and
A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges arrives this Friday, August 28, as your console clock ticks past midnight. As always, there’s five events on the slate, you’ve got seven days to work through them, and there’s bonus reward tickets on offer for checking them off. If you’re new to the format, Weekly Challenges unlock once you’ve finished the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and sat through the ending movie, serving as an endgame mode for players who’ve seen the credits roll. Each set comprises four races from the existing World Circuits roster plus a fifth “Special” event created just for the week, and finishing third or better in one, three, and five of them delivers bonus tickets to your Gifts (redeem them before they expire). All in, with race prizes and clean race bonuses, a full sweep is worth around 1.3m credits in cash and in-kind. This Week’s Highlights The Special Event slot goes to a one-make race this week, starring the newest member of the game’s British contingent: the Caterham Seven Superlight R500. Added just last week in the 1.71 update, the featherweight track toy gets six laps of the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit to stretch its legs, with 105,000cr for the win. If you haven’t picked one up yet, it’s a 75,000cr purchase in Brand Central, so victory here covers the cost of the car with change to spare. It’s not the biggest prize of the week though. That honor goes to the World Touring Car 800 at Mount Panorama, a ten-lap race with a hard 800PP cap and racing tires required, paying out a headline 200,000cr. The Bathurst circuit is a genuinely special place; we visited back in 2020 and found a world-famous racing landmark that doubles as an ordinary public

This was not a shot in the dark. The Ford Hypercarâs first kilometres come after months of work on the engine, simulator and honing Ford Racing team procedures. Their journey to the 95th 24 Hours of Le Mans on 9â13 June 2027 has begun. A Hypercar leaving the workshop for the first time, plus six drivers aiming for the same project goal amount to over 1,000 kilometres in three days. To an outsider, the Ford Hypercar’s first date at the Paul Ricard circuit may seem like the beginning. In fact, it’s the culmination of months of preparation. To get the car track ready, Ford Racing spent many hours working on the engine in the dyno cell in Dearborn, making sure the car would be operational from the outset. The first outing may be the first chapter, but there was a prelude to the story of Ford’s journey to the 2027 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship to take on Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Genesis, McLaren, Peugeot and Toyota. Thousands of hours of preparation for the first outing A race car doesn’t come into being when it leaves the pit lane. The Ford Hypercar was a reality long before it entered the track at the Paul Ricard circuit. A few weeks earlier, the 5.4-litre V8 naturally aspirated engine, developed in-house, was fired up for the first time in France. The American manufacturer worked alongside chassis builder Oreca to integrate the powertrain, while fleshing out its sporting programme in view of its FIA World Endurance Championship entry in 2027. All that remained was to test the car on a real circuit. Dan Sayers, WEC Hypercar Program Manager at Ford Racing sums up the philosophy: ‘Reaching Paul Ricard and getting the car through its shakedown and three
I tried American Truck Simulator’s cars, and now I can’t wait for more The upcoming Road Trip car DLC is set to add a fresh perspective to American Truck Simulator, but it was the collectable nature of the Atlas system that really engaged us. When American Truck Simulator confirmed it would be making cars, and licensed ones at that, the Traxion team was simultaneously bemused and intrigued. Firstly, the SCS Software development team do an exemplary job at simulating truck driving and replicating real-world vehicles accurately. So, naturally, we expected the cars to be exacting in their detail. But what would you do with them in-sim? It’s not like a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is used to haul freight or diggers around, is it? It transpires that a whole new gameplay loop has been created, dubbed the Atlas system, which was detailed in recent weeks. Which leads us to Gamescom, where, when trying the new Thrustmaster SimTask Truck-40 wheel, we had a brief and surprise hands-on with a car in ATS. This upcoming downloadable content sits under a ‘Road Trip’ umbrella, with two available packs. One for Ford cars and one for Dodge and RAM cars. There’s no release date yet, although alongside Coaches for sibling title Euro Truck Simulator 2, they seemed polished already based on this particular work-in-progress build. I was able to drive the Ford F-150 truck. That’s ‘truck’ in the pick-up truck sense, not HGV sense. Using only a keyboard as my control device, I was able to cruise the highways near, and drive through the city of San Francisco. The high-torque engine under the hood burbled authentically, the interior looked detailed and even the reversing camera was functional. I was able to reach highway speeds too, something I did wonder how the slow-paced game would
