GT7 Stealth Car Giveaway Crashes Servers (Again), Entries Temporarily Suspended

For the second consecutive round of the Gran Turismo World Series, the popular “Stealth Model” car giveaway has proven too popular for its own good. Entries for the Viewers Gift Campaign broke down as the Round 2 broadcast from Tokyo got underway on Saturday, and this time Polyphony Digital has suspended the campaign entirely while it investigates. The campaign offers two more of the limited-edition Stealth Model cars we detailed last month: a Toyota FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.3) for watching the Manufacturers Cup stream in-game, and a Mazda 787B ’91 for the Nations Cup. Neither car will ever be sold in GT7, so demand was always going to be high. What Happened As soon as the Manufacturers Cup broadcast began at 13:00 UTC, players attempting to register through the Viewers Campaign banner on the GT7 World Map started hitting errors, with entries failing to submit. The same thing happened during the Milan round in May, when the first Stealth Model campaign knocked parts of the Gran Turismo website offline mid-broadcast and left viewers staring at error screens. Things still didn’t go smoothly, but Polyphony is working to get ahead of the confusion this time. Where the Milan failure played out with little official word until after the fact, the company has now published a news update acknowledging the problem and pausing the campaign: “Following the start of the ‘Gran Turismo World Series Round 2 – Tokyo’ Manufacturers Cup live broadcast, an issue occurred that prevented some users from submitting their entries for the ‘Viewers Gift Campaign’ displayed at the top right of the World Map screen in Gran Turismo 7. We have temporarily suspended entries for the campaign while we investigate the issue and work towards a resolution. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.” Don’t Panic To

The third-to-last DTM race weekend of the season at the Nürburgring (GER) turned into a triumph for Marco Wittmann (GER). The two-time champion celebrated his first win of the season and the 20th of his career on Sunday in the #11 Schaeffler BMW M4 GT3 EVO. On Saturday, he had already collected many valuable points by finishing third on the podium. In the battle for his third drivers’ title, he is back in the fight, now in fifth place with 135 points and a 25-point gap to the top. Kelvin van der Linde (RSA) endured a frustrating weekend. With fourth and sixth place in the two qualifying sessions, Wittmann secured good starting positions for the races. He made good use of these already on Saturday, and on Sunday he did even better thanks to his driving skill and the outstanding performance of the Schubert Motorsport team. At the end of a strategically perfect race with strong pit stops, he claimed his first DTM victory since Zandvoort 2024. In the drivers’ standings, Wittmann is once again within reach of his third title, while in the team standings, Schubert Motorsport is third with 201 points and a 30-point gap to the top. New RSF Richard Burns Rally mod update adds historic Sanremo stage and '94 WRC season

RSF mod adds several new stages, including the historic Bignone Sanremo test Four new single-player Rally Season themes added, including ‘94 WRC season A new update has landed for Richard Burns Rally mod RallySimFans (RSF), with nine new stages added to the evergreen rally title. The most eye-catching is undoubtedly Bignone Shakedown, a small taster of what we can expect when the full stage releases at a later date. Bignone is a classic Rallye Sanremo test used at national and international rally events from 1974 to the present day, including the halcyon Group B period from 1983 to 1986. Set on the slopes of Mount Bignone in Italy, the stage has taken many forms over the decades, but all retain similar tight and twisty layouts, with narrow asphalt lanes punctuated by switchback turns. Created by Italian modder Ballaround, Bignone will eventually expand from the Shakedown version’s 3 km length into a full-blown 11 km edition, once a €2500 donation goal is met, with a reverse-direction layout also primed for general release. WRC fans may also be pleased to know that Comb, a former RAC Rally and current Malcolm Wilson Rally stage, also appears in the latest RSF update. Developed by Edd Hartley (who also produced Wythop), Comb was primarily used on the RAC in the latter days of Group B right up until 1992. Further new and updated stages are listed in the changelog at the bottom of this article (there’s quite a few there I haven’t done justice to, so they’re all well worth checking out). For many RBR players, the most important aspect of RSF’s latest update is the addition of several single-player offline championship seasons. First introduced in October 2024, ‘Rally Seasons’ adds period-correct cars and drivers to the game, allowing players to race in RBR’s vanilla

Assetto Corsa Has Twelve Times More Players Than EVO

More than a decade after its release, the original Assetto Corsa still has a Steam player base roughly twelve times larger than Assetto Corsa EVO. The gap reflects EVO’s current challenge, but also the unusual longevity of the game it is supposed to succeed. Assetto Corsa officially launched in December 2014. Assetto Corsa EVO arrived on Steam in January 2025. As of August 16, 2026, the original Assetto Corsa has averaged 8,572 concurrent players over the last 30 days. Assetto Corsa EVO sits at 689, giving the older game roughly 12.4 times as many average players. In July, the respective figures were 8,809 and 763. The historical numbers make the comparison more unusual. Assetto Corsa averaged 917 concurrent players in December 2014, the month of its full release. In January 2016, it was still at 916. By January 2019, the average had risen to just under 2,000. In January 2026, more than 11 years after launch, it averaged 10,684 concurrent players. Assetto Corsa is therefore attracting substantially more players now than it did during its first years. For EVO, that creates an unusual succession problem. Kunos is not trying to revive interest in Assetto Corsa. It has to convince an active community to move away from something many players are still using every day. Assetto Corsa became more than its original content The Assetto Corsa available to players in 2026 is very different from the package Kunos released in 2014. More than a decade of mods, applications, servers and community-created content now sits around the original simulator. Players have access to cars and circuits outside the official catalogue, traffic servers, free-roam maps, historic racing, community championships and extensive graphical modifications. That makes EVO’s job harder than replacing the content of a normal predecessor. It is competing with more than ten

Foster confirms RLL strength in Markham and takes 2nd IndyCar pole

After leading Free Practice 2, Louis Foster continued his strong form in Markham during Saturday evening’s qualifying session. The Briton flew around the Canadian street circuit to claim pole position with a time of 1m13.238s, finishing 0.396s ahead of Christian Lundgaard, who saved McLaren’s day. Caio Collet had a qualifying session to forget in Markham. As AJ Foyt Racing was preparing the car for the start of the session, it had to be wheeled back to the garage after failing to fire up its Chevrolet engine. After resolving the issue, the Brazilian ran slow on track and caused a red flag early in the session. As a result, the #4 lost his two fastest laps and will start from 24th place. Qualifying was further marked by three other red flags. In the first, Will Power spun, and despite avoiding the wall, the delay in resuming traffic led IndyCar to interrupt the Group 2 session. The second was caused by Josef Newgarden, who crashed at the corner preceding the pit entry, triggering a red flag even though he was already inside the pit lane area. Álex Palou was responsible for the third red flag. Right after taking the lead in Q2, the Spaniard clipped the wall lightly, but was unable to negotiate the subsequent turns with left-rear suspension damage, crashing into the barrier that delineates the Markham track. IndyCar returns on Sunday with the Markham GP. The 14th round of the 2026 season is scheduled for 1:00 PM. All activities feature complete coverage from GRANDE PRÊMIO. How IndyCar Qualifying Went in Markham Group 1 The green flag for qualifying waved at 7:46 PM following a 16-minute delay due to preliminary track activities in Markham, which aided Collet as Foyt needed to wheel the #4 back to the garage to resolve a

Palou leads IndyCar FP1 in Markham as track is finally completed

Key Takeaways (TL;DR): - Session Leader: Álex Palou set the fastest lap (1m14.991s) for Chip Ganassi Racing to top the delayed opening practice session at the newly completed Markham street circuit. - Standout Performance: AJ Foyt Racing rookie Caio Collet surprised the field by setting the second-fastest overall time (1m15.045s), finishing just ahead of RLL’s Louis Foster. - First On-Track Action: Following Friday’s complete cancellation due to unfinished circuit construction, drivers finally hit the track for a split-group practice format to begin Saturday’s compressed schedule. After Friday’s track action was entirely wiped out due to incomplete circuit assembly, the Markham street circuit was finally declared ready on Saturday morning, August 15. IndyCar hit the track for Free Practice 1, with Álex Palou leading the way for Chip Ganassi Racing after posting a benchmark lap of 1m14.991s. Caio Collet turned heads by setting the second-fastest time overall. The AJ Foyt Racing driver posted a 1m15.045s, missing Palou’s mark by just 0.054s. Louis Foster placed third for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing with a 1m15.072s effort late in the session. Scott McLaughlin led the Team Penske contingent in fourth (1m15.298s), while Will Power rounded out the top five for Andretti Global (1m15.315s). David Malukas (Penske) ended the session sixth despite reporting brake issues, while Marcus Armstrong (Meyer Shank Racing) and Marcus Ericsson (Andretti) posted identical times down to the fourth decimal place (1m15.4426s), with Armstrong taking seventh by virtue of setting his time first. Rinus VeeKay (Juncos Hollinger) and Dennis Hauger (Dale Coyne) completed the top 10. How Free Practice 1 Unfolded in Markham Despite being a brand-new track for IndyCar, drivers returned to the pits as soon as they completed an installation lap — at most two, as Christian Lundgaard, Sting Ray Robb, David Malukas, Scott McLaughlin, Josef Newgarden, Santino Ferrucci, Nolan

New Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo confirmed for Gran Turismo 7

The Mazda RX-Vision concept racing car has been updated, following over 400,000 people driving the existing model virtually. The screaming, rotary-powered beast, used in the Gr.3 class of Gran Turismo 7 and part of the Manufacturers Cup World Series competition, is set for a revised model. During the second round of the series, teaser images were published showcasing a more aggressive aerodynamic package. This includes a larger splitter, new LED lamps in the lower part of the front bumper, larger side skirts and a dramatically larger rear diffuser and rear wing. Its name is the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo and it’s simply listed as “coming soon.” The ‘Evo’ moniker relates to real-world GT3 models, often used for upgraded machinery. The Mazda is a work of fiction for the Gran Turismo games, as the Japanese car manufacturer does not have a model that competes in actual motorsport. Recently, the current Porsche 911 GT3 and Ferrari 296 GT3 models were added to the game without their ‘evo’ upgrades, although as these are minimal, they can be unofficially added through the purchase of new parts at GT Auto. Now, it has locked in an August announcement at the German gaming event, and released brief teaser images of the device in action. We can see a rider testing one of Milestone’s MotoGP games while sat atop some kind of motorbike replica. Movement has not yet been showcased. But they do twist a grip for throttle, and seemingly apply the brakes with their other hand. There are rows of illuminated buttons on the handlebars, too. The event runs between 26th and 30th August 2026 in Cologne. Discussion 0 Comments Join the discussion Join Traxion.gg to start discussing with members. Already a member? Sign in

Gran Turismo World Series 2026 Round 2 Live Stream: Tokyo Story

The 2026 Gran Turismo World Series is back this weekend, with Round 2 broadcasting from Polyphony Digital’s Tokyo studio on Saturday, August 15. The Manufacturers Cup gets things started at 13:00 UTC, with the Nations Cup following at 15:00 UTC, and you can watch both streams right here. This is the round that effectively replaces the cancelled Abu Dhabi opener, and it’s a very different animal from the Milan season opener back in May. There’s no venue, no tickets, and no crowd. In fact, there’s not even any live racing. The event was actually recorded behind closed doors at Polyphony’s studio a few weeks ago, and the “live streams” going out this weekend are replays of that session. It’s the first time the World Series has aired pre-recorded races since the championship was forced online during the pandemic years of 2020-2022. Table of Contents Manufacturers Cup — 13:00 UTC The Manufacturers Cup opens the show at 13:00 UTC, and it brings a complete driver changeover. Where Milan fielded each team’s Europe/Middle East/Africa representative, Tokyo hands the cars to the Asia-Oceania drivers. That means every driver who scored Manufacturers points in Milan is now watching from the sidelines. Porsche’s drive passes from Jose Serrano to Takuma “Takuan” Sasaki, Ferrari’s from record-breaking rookie Maximilian Kroll to third-year representative Jun Hashima, and Mercedes-AMG’s from Jack Balding to Kojiro Sasaki. Porsche leads Ferrari by a single point at the top of the table, with AMG two back, so there’s plenty for the new trio of drivers to protect. There are few names worth watching. Kanata Kawakami (a two-time champion with Lexus, and known as “Mr Lexus” for good reason) is one of the elder statesman of this grid. Audi debuts 18-year-old Sota Moriyama alongside its point from Milan, and Mazda’s Ryota Kokubun is the

Gran Turismo World Series Manufacturers Cup: Porsche doubles up, wins Round 2 | Traxion

Gran Turismo World Series Manufacturers Cup: Porsche doubles up, wins Round 2 Takuma Sasaki has won the second round of the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series Manufacturers Cup for Porsche, the German brand’s second win of the season. Porsche has won two-from-two in the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series Manufacturers Cup, this time thanks to Takuma Sasaki. It was victorious at the Milanese round earlier this year, when José Serrano finished first around a reversed Nürburgring. That Gran Turismo 7 race was dry, although this one at a virtual Fuji International Speedway was not. Sasaki qualified in second place for the 27-lap race, with Audi’s Sota Moriyama 0.1s quicker to secure pole position. The Japanese driver would lead for one corner only, however, running slightly wide at the start of the event and allowing the 911 GT3 through to a lead it would never concede. Moriyama would stay in second place until the final lap, dropping to third behind Lamborghini’s Yuki Kodaka. In a race that started in heavy rain conditions, before drying up, the Huracán driver opted for medium slick tyres, instead of the R8 driver’s soft option. The softs dropped off in the final three laps, with second place decided narrowly across the line. Elsewhere, Nissan’sHiroshi Okumoto and the Lexus of Kanata Kawakami opted for the full wet tyres at the beginning, as opposed to most of the field selecting intermediates. By the ninth tour, however, while the circuit was still sodden, the rain had ceased. The intermediate tyre was now on the ascendancy, and Okumoto and Kawakami started to fall backwards. They pitted at the end of lap 11, risking it for slick medium rubber. Those on intermediates were hunting for puddles off the main racing line to cool temperatures. Those on slicks were doing the inverse.

iRacing Companion App 3.0: New UI and Improved Sync

iRacing’s updated iOS and Android app introduces a redesigned interface, changes to navigation, improved synchronization and a rebuilt technical foundation. iRacing has released Companion App 3.0, updating its iOS and Android application with a new interface, changes to its underlying architecture and closer synchronization with the main iRacing service. The app still provides access to schedules, upcoming races, results, statistics, leagues and content, along with reminders and service notifications. Favorites and social data now sync with iRacing One of the biggest changes in Companion App 3.0 is how information is shared between the mobile app and iRacing. Favorites for cars, tracks, series and leagues can now remain synchronized across services. Social data is also included. Friends, followed drivers and pending friend requests are now shared with iRacing rather than relying as heavily on information stored only within the Companion App. This should reduce discrepancies between preferences and social information shown on mobile and elsewhere in the service. Companion App 3.0 introduces a redesigned interface The update also changes the app’s interface and several navigation flows. Users can continue to browse series, upcoming races, schedules and session information. Driver profiles, licences, statistics, results and leagues remain available. The calendar displays official series by week alongside upcoming sessions, while reminders can be created for races and league events. The app also continues to send service notifications, including notices about scheduled maintenance. Companion App 3.0 is more than a visual redesign. iRacing has changed parts of the application’s architecture and the systems responsible for managing and synchronizing data. The update also includes localization and language-support improvements and other smaller usability changes. The technical work is intended to provide a newer foundation for future development and maintenance of the app. Race planning and statistics remain available The main race-planning tools remain in place after the

Le Mans Ultimate's next US tracks set for September and December release

Le Mans Ultimate’s second and third US Track packs will arrive in September and December 2026. This was estimated by the sim’s fanbase when the title stated the following upon the first pack’s launch: “More season pass packs are to come, we’re expecting late Q3 and late Q4 for these next two packs.” However, now, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Motorsport Games has confirmed the targeted months on a recent earnings call. “After quarter end [MSG’s Q2 ended 30th June], we updated the game to Version 1.4 and with it added Daytona and Laguna Seca, two of the most iconic circuits in American racing, as the first part of our newly released US Track Pass. “We expect packs two and three in September and December, respectively, and we’re actively exploring what comes next for Le Mans Ultimate content in 2027. “Whilst we do not envisage opening our Le Mans gaming title to completely unrelated rating content, we do believe there are still significant content offerings that can be added to the Le Mans Ultimate experience over at least the next couple of years.” Discussion 0 Comments Join the discussion Join Traxion.gg to start discussing with members. Le Mans Ultimate surpasses 500,000 copies sold and 1.2 million DLC sales

RaceControl has also passed 40,000 paid subscribers, while Motorsport Games has recorded a sixth consecutive profitable quarter. Le Mans Ultimate has sold more than 500,000 copies of the base game and over 1.2 million individual DLC units, according to Motorsport Games’ latest financial results. The figures arrive roughly two and a half years after Le Mans Ultimate launched in Early Access and alongside improved financial results for Motorsport Games. The company reported higher revenue during the second quarter of 2026 and has now posted six consecutive quarters of positive net income. Le Mans Ultimate passes 500,000 copies sold Motorsport Games confirmed that Le Mans Ultimate has sold more than 500,000 copies of the base game. It has also sold over 1.2 million individual DLC units. That is equivalent to roughly 2.4 DLC units for every base game copy sold, although it should not be treated as the average amount purchased by each player. Some players may own several DLC packs, while others may own none. Le Mans Ultimate has continued to receive new content during 2026. Version 1.4 arrived in July alongside the first of three planned US track packs, including Daytona and Laguna Seca. Those releases arrived after the end of Motorsport Games’ second quarter, so their financial contribution is not included in the period ending 30th June 2026. RaceControl passes 40,000 paid subscribers RaceControl reached 40,520 paid subscribers as of 30th June 2026, around 230% higher than a year earlier. Subscription revenue reached approximately $1.4 million during the first half of 2026, compared with around $300,000 during the same period in 2025. That is an increase of roughly 349% year over year. RaceControl subscriptions represented about 18% of Motorsport Games’ total revenue during the first six months of 2026, up from approximately 7% during the same period in

Is Le Mans Ultimate Following iRacing's Successful Formula?

Le Mans Ultimate has surpassed 500,000 base-game sales and 1.2 million individual DLC sales, but Motorsport Games is also building a larger online business around RaceControl. As of 30th June 2026, RaceControl had 40,520 paid subscribers, around 230% more than a year earlier. Subscription revenue reached approximately $1.4 million during the first half of 2026, up nearly 349% year over year. That gives Motorsport Games three sources of revenue around Le Mans Ultimate: the base game, downloadable content and RaceControl subscriptions. The structure is still different from iRacing, where a membership is required to access the service. But LMU is increasingly relying on some of the same ingredients that have supported iRacing over the long term: organized competition, recurring subscriptions, paid content and regular updates. RaceControl is becoming a larger part of Le Mans Ultimate RaceControl provides the official online competition platform for Le Mans Ultimate and rFactor 2. Its financial contribution has grown quickly. Approximately $1.4 million in RaceControl subscription revenue during the first six months of 2026 represented around 18% of Motorsport Games’ total revenue for the period. Players can still buy Le Mans Ultimate DLC individually and keep it permanently, but RaceControl Pro+ also provides access to first-party Studio 397 DLC for Le Mans Ultimate and rFactor 2 while the subscription remains active. That gives players two ways to access additional content: buying it outright or accessing it through a subscription. iRacing puts the subscription first The main difference is structural. iRacing requires an active membership to use the service. Its membership currently includes 32 cars and 29 tracks, more than 125 official series, round-the-clock online racing, matchmaking, licence and rating systems, team racing and more than 25 special events each year. iRacing says its global community exceeds 350,000 sim racers. Gunther Werks GXR-Evo: 455hp 993-based race car

Gunther Werks' new GXR-Evo is basically a race car with a license plate, and only 15 exist Gunther Werks built a 455hp, 1,082kg 911 that's barely still street legal. Gunther Werks unveiled the GXR-Evo during Monterey Car Week, a 993-generation Porsche 911 stripped down and rebuilt as what the company calls the most extreme and fastest naturally aspirated car in its history. Just 15 examples will be built, each starting at $1,350,000. A 993 stripped down and rebuilt for lap times Every body panel is replaced with 12k 2x2-weave carbon fibre, including the aero addenda, front fender vents and even the quarter windows. The result is a dry weight of 1,082kg, 95kg lighter than a standard car. Underneath, Gunther Werks fitted a double-wishbone front suspension, JRZ three-way adjustable remote-reservoir dampers all round, race-spec Brembo Pista brakes and magnesium centre-lock wheels. The naturally aspirated flat-six doing the work Power comes from a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six co-developed with Rothsport Racing, producing 455hp and revving to nearly 9,000rpm. It uses a slide-valve throttle-body system in place of conventional throttle butterflies, aimed at sharper throttle response and better volumetric efficiency, paired with a straight-pipe exhaust. Drive goes to the rear wheels through a reworked Getrag G50 six-speed manual gearbox. Aero that borrows heavily from Manthey Racing's playbook The GXR-Evo's aggressive front splitter, canards, front arch louvres and gaping front intakes are aimed squarely at front-end downforce, while a rear wing with intricate endplates, a monster diffuser and rear wheel covers handle the back. An integrated centre shark fin replaces the rear glass entirely, giving the car what amounts to a baby-LMP silhouette. An interior built for a helmet, not a commute Inside, Gunther Werks fitted a carbon-Kevlar racing seat with a six-point Schroth harness inside an eight-point roll cage, a Motec digital display,

Motorsport Games Q2 2026 Esports Revenue, Le Mans Virtual

Motorsport Games generated $36,277 in esports revenue in the second quarter of 2026, the first income the segment has produced since 2023, according to a quarterly report the company filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday. The money came from “facilitating Esports events for partners using our Le Mans Ultimate title,” the filing states, without naming the partners or the events. It cost more than it brought in. The segment recorded $42,139 in cost of revenues for a gross loss of $5,862, and carried $101,172 in development expense — its first since 2023, a year in which the segment’s full-year development spend was $9,614. The quarterly operating loss was $115,694, against $21,302 a year earlier. Motorsport Games said it “will continue to pursue Esports partnerships in the second half of 2026.” The company has disclosed one esports arrangement running on the title during the quarter, though it has not connected that arrangement to the revenue. Motorsport Games President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen Hood told the company’s first-quarter earnings call in May that Logitech had chosen RaceControl, the multiplayer and subscription platform inside Le Mans Ultimate, to power the Logitech G Challenge esports series, according to a transcript of the call. The 2026 edition of that competition moved to Le Mans Ultimate from Forza Motorsport, Traxion reported in May, carrying a prize pool of more than $35,000 and six daily qualifying windows running from May 5 to July 27 — four of them inside the second quarter. Motorsport Games has not said whether that competition produced the quarter’s esports revenue. The restart does not involve the property the segment was built around. The same filing repeats a promise the company has now made in three consecutive August reports, with only the season label changing: “Although we did

Le Mans Ultimate surpasses half a million sales

It’s sometimes easy to forget the mire Motorsport Games was in when it released Le Mans Ultimate through early access two-and-a-half years ago. It’s also easy to forget the potentially ruinous intial Steam review backlash. But, bit by bit, update by update – the recent Joker system controversy and netcode instabilities notwithstanding – the company has turned it around. Today, 14th August 2026, it reported its sixth consecutive profitable quarter, unheard of back in the company’s 2023 nadir. With the latest financial results comes an update on game sales. “I am also delighted to share that we have now sold more than half a million units of the Le Mans Ultimate base game alongside more than 1.2 million individual pieces of downloadable content,” said Motorsport Games President and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Hood. Between April and June of this year (MSG’s financial year Q2), revenue rose 36.6% to $3.5 million, when compared to the same period in 2025. In the first half of 2026 (Q1 plus Q2), this was up 74.0% to $7.6 million. Of that income, the optional RaceControl subscription for Le Mans Ultimate accounted for $1.4 million during the first half of this year, up ~349%. As of 30th June 2026, there were 40,520 paid subscribers, a ~230% year-on-year increase. “We believe it’s already proving to be a real jewel in our portfolio, amplifying our games in a distinct way versus the competition,” said Hood of RaceControl. According to the company, April 2026 was the highest-ever month for average daily active users. A Version 1.4 update, and the first of three US track pack DLCs due this year, were released in July, which won’t be reported on until the Q3 earnings report expected in November.
