Polyphony Digital has laid out several job listings such as build engineer, online engineer, racing game programmer, application programmer, and much more.
Although the listings don’t explicitly say that the studio is looking for people to work on Gran Turismo 8, the studio has only worked on Gran Turismo titles since 1997.
Back in December 2025, Gran Turismo 7 crossed the two million active players mark.
Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi shared, “Gran Turismo 7 has been released for several years, but still, the active users are currently over 2 million people, and the new users are increasing.”

Gran Turismo 7 seemingly has a longer shelf-life than expected, with a two-part Spec IV update on the way later this year.
There are 12 cars and two tracks, but more importantly, some key quality-of-life and feature additions, with John Munro and Thomas Harrison-Lord break down.

Peak Sim Racing is preparing to open at 1236 South Broadway this fall, bringing a 3,200-square-foot racing center to Denver designed for both seasoned motorsport enthusiasts and those looking to learn more about the sport.
At the center of it all will be 12 racing simulators, split between two tiers: 10 standard setups and two premium setups.
While the technology is built to deliver a serious racing experience, Sevilla wants Peak Sim Racing to remain approachable.
Peak Sim Racing is also planning to accommodate private events, with the venue available for corporate gatherings, private parties and team experiences.

From the high Himalayas to the shores of the Dead Sea, there aren’t many places Oracle Red Bull Racing hasn’t brought the thrill of Formula 1. Narrow, dimly lit subterranean tunnels, however, were always off limits. Until now. To celebrate the return of the Spanish Grand Prix to Madrid after 45 years at the all-new Madring circuit, Oracle Red Bull Racing took one of its most iconic cars onto a very different kind of track, sending the double-title-winning RB8 onto the rails of the Madrid Metro. The Madring will be easily accessible to fans via a new Metro station within the circuit complex, meaning thousands will travel underground to Madrid’s first Grand Prix since the 1981 race at the Circuito del Jarama. So, ahead of F1’s arrival, the Team decided to beat them to it. There was just one problem: how do you turn an F1 car into a train? The unique engineering challenge was taken on by the Oracle Red Bull Racing Heritage Team and Spanish engineering and creative collective Andtonic, who began to tackle the thorny issue of how to convert an F1 car to run on rails, especially as neither the train tracks nor the title-winning RB8 could be reconfigured. Thankfully, the width of the Metro rails proved a good match for the RB8’s track. The bigger challenge was creating bespoke metal wheels light enough to protect the car’s suspension, gearbox and driveshafts. Fanatec’s European store is showing a mixed availability picture for September 2026, with most of its Direct Drive wheelbase range currently available while the ClubSport DD remains on backorder. The latest estimates place new ClubSport DD shipments around September 10, while CSL DD, ClubSport DD+, GT DD Pro and Podium DD hardware can currently be ordered without a future stock date. The situation is useful for buyers because Fanatec’s current range now covers everything from the entry-level 5 Nm CSL DD to the 25 Nm Podium DD, with availability differing considerably between products. The main exception is the ClubSport DD. Fanatec currently lists the 15 Nm wheelbase on backorder, with its European product page showing an expected shipping window beginning around September 10. Fanatec Direct Drive wheelbase availability At the entry level, the CSL DD is currently available in both 5 Nm and 8 Nm configurations. iRacing has released a new video showcasing the upcoming Gen 4 Grand National ahead of its arrival with the 2026 Season 4 update. The lighter and slightly less powerful stock car will join the service with around 600–650 hp, a dedicated official series and free access for existing owners of the current Gen 4 package. The dedicated video was published on September 7, giving drivers their clearest look yet at the new car before the Season 4 build arrives. While the footage is new, the Gen 4 Grand National itself was first confirmed in iRacing’s August Development Update on August 28. The car represents the level below the top Cup machinery during the Gen 4 era, before NASCAR’s transition to the Car of Tomorrow. What is the iRacing Gen 4 Grand National? Visually, the Grand National shares much of the same aerodynamic body style as the Gen 4 Cup cars, but there are important differences underneath. The car uses a shorter 105-inch wheelbase and a 358 cubic-inch V8 running a 9:1 compression ratio with a smaller 390 CFM carburetor. iRacing estimates output at approximately 600–650 horsepower. That makes the Grand National lighter and slightly less powerful than its Cup counterpart, placing greater emphasis on maintaining momentum and using smooth throttle, brake and steering inputs. According to iRacing, those characteristics should make the car particularly agile while still retaining the raw stock-car behaviour associated with the Gen 4 era. A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday, September 14. Race A puts everyone in the same car, the Peugeot RCZ Gr.3 Road Car, for seven laps of Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on Sports Mediums. It’s the road-going take on Peugeot’s Gr.3 racer, and with settings locked down and a rolling start there’s nothing to fiddle with before the lights. Just pick a color and go. Race B is Gr.4 machinery at Mount Panorama, four laps on Racing Hards with brake balance the only setting left open, as usual. Bathurst remains one of the most distinctive circuits in the game, with the narrow, wall-lined run down the top of the mountain leaving very little room for error. If you’ve never seen just how tight that section is in person, our visit to the circuit back in 2020 is worth a read. Race C is the longest of the week, with twelve laps of Dragon Trail – Seaside in Gr.3 cars. There’s no mandatory pit stop listed in the regulations, but both Racing Medium and Racing Soft tires must be used during the race, which means a stop is effectively mandatory anyway. When you take it is up to you, with fuel and tire wear at 3x and 6x, respectively. Brake balance is adjustable, and the Chicane of Death on the back section will be doing its usual job of sorting the field. EA and Codemasters have released F1 25 Update 1.25, adding the complete 2026 Formula 2 Championship alongside a new Sports Update for the 2026 Formula 1 grid. The September 7 patch also introduces special liveries, regulation changes and additional support for several SIMAGIC sim racing products. Update 1.25 began rolling out at 10:00 UTC on September 7, 2026 across PC and consoles, continuing the post-launch development of the F1 25: 2026 Season Pack. The update should not be confused with the launch of F1 25: 2026 Season Edition itself, which was released on June 3. Instead, v1.25 expands and updates the existing 2026 content with F2, revised F1 visuals and a series of gameplay, career and hardware changes. F2 2026 arrives in F1 25 The headline addition is the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship, with EA confirming that all cars and drivers from the season have now been added to the game. The F1 grid has also received what Codemasters describes as a Sports Update. This includes visual changes and updated sponsor branding to better reflect the current 2026 Formula 1 season, while several Team Principals have also been updated throughout the game. A number of Special Edition Liveries for the 2026 F1 cars have been added as well.
