Concert News State Fair of Texas unveils full lineup of free music acts for 2026 Free music will be plentiful during the 2026 State Fair of Texas' 24-day run, September 25-October 18. The Fair has revealed its full lineup of music acts that will be playing on multiple stages around Fair Park this year. The Chevrolet Main Stage is where visitors will find the biggest acts playing during the fair, with over 30 singers and bands playing during the fair. Headliners include Clint Black, Bowling for Soup, Kansas, QueensrĂżche, Deep Blue Something, Tripping Daisy, Toadies, RaeLynn, Muscadine Bloodline, Gym Class Heroes, and more. While the lineup on the main stage offers a wide variety of acts from different genres, it won't be the only option for visitors looking for a music break. The Bud Light Stage, near Cotton Bowl Stadium, will showcase local and regional talent, while the White Claw Spotlight Stage, located at the Grove on Nimitz, will feature a variety of artists from Dallas Music Officeâs roster of talent, all local to the Dallas music scene. In addition, the brand-new ZiegenBock Stage, located at the newly renovated Old Mill Inn near Big Tex Circle, will provide a fun atmosphere for fairgoers to enjoy a live music experience in the shadow of Big Tex. The Fair is continuing its partnership with State Fair Records, the East Dallas-based label that programs and produces the Bud Light Stage and Old Mill Stage. "State Fair Records continues to raise the bar, selecting several up-and-coming and established Texas musicians who fit the mold of the most Texan place on Earth," said Jason Hays, SVP of Brand Experience, in a statement. In response to Wreckreationâs mixed reception, the sequel is taking a back-to-basics approach. Whereas the first game was set in a large open world with track creation tools, the sequel is smaller in scale but more focused as a result. âOver the last six months, we spent a lot of time talking to players, moderators and each other about what worked and what didnât [about Wreckreation],â said When Tides Turnâs Studio Head and Executive Producer, Fiona Sperry. âAnd we kept coming back to the same conclusion: we didnât need a bigger game. We just needed a more focused one.â According to Sperry, Wreckreation 2 is being developed around five key pillars: âa world built for racing, battling and crashing,â âdriving that feels physical,â âevery race is a battle,â âcars players grow attached toâ and âa player-led creative community.â Wreckreation 2 is set in a new map called Heartbreak City, with a coastal setting reminiscent of Paradise City in Burnout Paradise. "It's win it or bin it stuff": Top Gear's first play of Wreckreation 2 Burnout fans unite, the spiritual sequelâs getting... er, a sequel, and weâve played it Far away from the nu-school sim racing headspace where racers tweak their load cell brakes and read reddit threads about the best gloves to use with Alcantara racing wheels, thereâs the gleeful arcade abandon of Wreckreation. Released in late 2025 by Three Fields Entertainment, it was the passion project of several Criterion veterans who brought Burnout to the world in the heady Noughties, and who evidently â correctly â thought we could do with some more of that high-octane bashing and barging in the austere 2020s. Thing is, it was a bit rough. This is a small team doing a big thing, capturing the lightning in a bottle that made Burnout such a success, while also modernising it and adding a very ambitious on-the-fly track customisation element to its open world. Critical sentiment, including our own, was tempered by those rough edges. So theyâve gone and made a sequel. Wreckreation 2 is in its early stages of development but nevertheless weâve signed the waivers, accepted that the build might catch fire at any moment, and taken to the streets in a Dearborn & Schaeffer Nightranger. Vehicles are unlicensed and fictional, obviously, like those proudly â100% UNOFFICIAL!â biographies of celebs. That allows Wreckreation 2 free reign to absolutely dismantle its roster of machinery at the slightest provocation, and as the keen-eyed will have deducted from the game name, thatâs very much the point here. As before, wrecking other cars or performing dangerous feats like near misses, jumps, shunts and driving into oncoming traffic generates boost. Boost makes you go faster. Going faster is better. Right, thatâs the gameplay mechanics covered. No, but really,

But of a joke really The tracks in LMU are really well made and this ânot official WEC venueâ idea is one I can really get behind. Would rather they use WEC sponsors than âmotorsport gamesâ being plastered everywhere, but itâs a minor quibble. Whether youâre interested in stock cars or sports cars, open-wheel formula cars or sprint cars, sticking to pavement or playing in the dirt, running solo or racing with a team of your closest friends, our Special Events have something for everyone! iRACING 6HRS OF ROAD AMERICA The next special event on the 2026 iRacing Special Event calendar is the iRacing 6HRS of Road America. The 6 Hours of Road America is a six-hour endurance race held annually at Road America. It is the fourth round of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The race is open to teams of drivers with at least a Road License Level D, with splits determined by the iRatings of registered team drivers, and grids set first by qualifying then iRating. A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three âfreshâ events now live and running through next Monday. âFreshâ is a stretch this time, though: every combination on offer has already raced earlier this year. Race A puts the Honda NSX Type R â92 back on Grand Valley â Highway 1, Sports Medium tires and a Grid Start, the same pairing that ran on March 2, just one lap shorter than this weekâs six. Race B sends Gr.3 machinery to Brands Hatchâs Grand Prix layout for six laps on Racing Hards, an exact repeat of the race that ran on March 16. Race C revives the Gr.4 field at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve for ten laps, also on Racing Hards, matching the event from January 12 detail for detail. Recycling Daily Races combinations isnât new; Polyphony Digital has done this periodically for as long as the mode has existed, and itâs always a bummer. Just two weeks ago, an entire weekâs lineup was repeats too. It hasnât gone unnoticed by the community, generating plenty of justified grumbling. Adding insult to injury, thereâs not much tactical depth to make up for the reruns, either. All three races skip the need for any pit stops and fuel and tire wear sit at their default 1x multipliers across the board, so thereâs nothing to manage beyond stringing together clean, consistent laps. Attention, shoppers Long-awaited Kroger Marketplace ready for big debut in Little Elm After nearly two years in the making, Kroger's new Marketplace store in Little Elm is finally ready to debut. The grocery chain has set Friday, July 31 as the opening date of its 123,000-square-foot store at 26587 E. University Dr. According to a release, the store is a nearly $40 million project that will bring about 200 jobs and serve the rapidly growing communities of Little Elm, Aubrey, Providence Village, and beyond. Announced in 2024, the new location is Kroger's first Marketplace-format store to open in North Texas this year. In addition to a full-service grocery with produce, meat and seafood, floral, and pharmacy departments, the expanded concept includes home goods, apparel, toys, and other general merchandise. Shoppers also will find specialty features such as a Murray's Cheese counter, a fresh-cut fruit kiosk, and a fuel center with 14 pumps plus a grab-and-go kiosk for snacks and beverages. "This new Marketplace store reflects Kroger's long-term commitment to serving families who are putting down roots and building their future in one of the fastest-growing areas of North Texas," said Rudy DiPietro, president of Kroger's Texas Division, in a statement. The grand opening begins at 6 am on July 31, when the first shoppers through the doors will receive prizes, gift cards, and coupons for free breakfast items. Kroger also will offer grand opening discounts through August 4, including 30 cents off per gallon for Kroger Rewards members at the fuel center during the weekends of July 31-August 2 and August 7-9. Revving up State-of-the-art Velocity racing simulator lounge zooms into Dallas A new "eatertainment" venue devoted to virtual racing is revving up for North Dallas: Called Velocity Sim Racing Lounge, the concept combines high-tech driving simulators with a full restaurant and bar. Velocity is located at 9830 N. Central Expwy., Ste. 400, at Walnut Hill in The Hill shopping center, in the former Camp space. According to a release, it will celebrate with grand opening festivities on Saturday, July 25. Dallas is the second location for the Texas-based Velocity, after a Houston venue opened in 2025. Designed for everyone from first-time drivers to dedicated enthusiasts, the venue features a "Racer" - a beginner-friendly motion-enabled simulator - all the way up to an "Ultimate" - a full-throttle premium rig for the highest-intensity immersion available, the website says. It's the only "Ultimate" in Texas. There are also two-seat race cars available. Racers can choose from a number of cars (i.e., Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport or McLaren 570S GT4) and multiple track destinations (i.e., Monza in Italy and Zandvoort in The Netherlands). While the racing simulators are the main attraction, Velocity is designed as much for socializing as competition, with more than 30 racing rigs, a large video wall where guests can watch races in real time, and a central bar for cocktails, food, and watch parties. âVelocity is all about building community through a shared passion for cars and racing,â founder Viet Tran says in the release. âThe simulators will bring people through the doors, but it's everything around them that makes them stay.
