Max Verstappen says: Even if you give us a rental car, we'll give you a good show

Four-time Formula 1 Champion Max Verstappen said the entertaining racing in the Canadian Grand Prix was down to the drivers delivering a show and not the 2026 cars. The Canadian Grand Prix was the second race after the tweaking of the regulations to allow for better racing, and while the show was great with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli battling in their Mercedes W17s and Verstappen fighting with Lewis Hamilton, there was no denying that these cars are wrong. The topic of the great show in Canada was presented to Antonelli, Hamilton, and Verstappen in the post-race press conference, and three delivered a verdict that was far from complimentary. "I mean, it's definitely not second nature, that's for sure," Hamilton began. "I think it still continues to be a weird feeling. You go down the power, you open up the SM, and then the power dies like halfway down the straight and the RPM starts dropping. "It doesn't feel what motorsport should be," the Briton added. "The engine should be ringing its neck off right to the end of the straight and just pulling and pulling. That's what they used to do in the V8 times or the V10 times. They would just pull and pull." Close racing is better? However, Hamilton hailed the new chassis because it allows closer racing. He added: "I think ultimately the car is fundamentally a better design, so we can race and get close and follow each other closely, and I think that's the best part of it. "The power part, I think, is less exciting," the seven-time F1 Champion concluded. Antonelli, understandably, took a more diplomatic approach; he commented: "Sometimes it triggers you a little bit how the system works. "But definitely also with the changes that were made, also the FIA giving

Balancing Forza Horizon 6's progression systems is “super tricky”

Forza Horizon’s approach to progression often polarises its fanbase. Its Wheelspin mechanic is a particular point of contention, frequently showering players with supercars in random slot-machine prizes. Some players relish this instant gratification, giving them a dopamine hit. But others crave a deeper sense of progression and reward. For Playground Games, catering to both fanbases is a difficult balancing act. “Forza Horizon is so many different things to so many different people” “It’s super tricky,” Production Director Mike Bennett told Traxion at a recent launch event. “The challenge we have is that our games are massive now. We have such a broad audience. Forza Horizon is so many different things to so many different people. “When we do our research early on, we find people play the game in so many different ways. Some don’t really engage in the curated race content: they just pick the car they want and drive around the game world, and that’s how they want to experience it. “We also saw the hunger and desire people had for a more meaningful progression system. They’re opposed to each other in some ways,” he continued. “We’ve got this cohort of players who want more progression and challenge. And then we have other people who love how rewarding and generous Horizon is. We’re trying to balance these things. There’s a healthy tension between the two of them.” This inspired Playground Games to reapproach Forza Horizon 6’s progression systems. Instead of earning accolades in previous games, the latest entry sees you tackle tasks in two progress-tracking journals: Horizon Festival and Discover Japan. The former sees you complete objectives from collecting specific cars and photographing murals to completing race events. Meanwhile, Discover Japan rewards exploration. Collecting up to seven stamps unlocks Barn Find hints and new homes to buy around

Interview: Asetek CEO André Eriksen on Sim Racing, Affordability, Access, and Xbox

Between the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600, Memorial Day Weekend is always the biggest spectacle in American motorsports. This year, things got even better for racing fans with the first ever SimRacing Expo to be held in the USA, which took place over three days in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was invited on DualShockers' behalf to the event, and one of my favorite moments of the weekend was speaking with André Eriksen, CEO and Founder of Asetek Racing. SimRacing Expo 2026 Roundup: 10 Sim Racing Products You Should Check Out Sim racing enthusiasts have a lot to be excited about. If this is your introduction to Asetek, Eriksen first started the business in 1997 in Denmark as a liquid cooling company, working with computer tech stalwarts like Alienware and Corsair. Asetek Racing, the sim racing branch of the company, was then started much later in 2021, born of Eriksen's love of motorsport and personal experience with automotive racing. In my time speaking with André, it was refreshing to hear a CEO speak so candidly and openly about everything we got into during our conversation. Here's how the interview went, and why I think it all points to Asetek being a sim racing company you should take a closer look at in 2026. Speaking With André Eriksen, CEO and Founder of Asetek Racing My conversation with André started with him giving me the backstory of the company, since I wasn't familiar with it myself going into our interview. Speaking about launching into the sim racing scene in 2021, Eriksen said: "Because we were newcomers, I had this idea or philosophy that we need to start at the high end. We need to show off, we need to show what we're capable of. So the first thing we launched was our

Alpine F1 ordered to finish 'fashionably late' in every race following Gucci tie-up | Top Gear

Alpine F1 ordered to finish ‘fashionably late’ in every race following Gucci tie-up Team instructed not to aim for victory ‘because it’s not cool to get there first’ Here's TopGear.com's roving correspondent, Cory Spondent, with his weekly, mostly incorrect exclusives from the world of motoring Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will be instructed to cruise around at the back of the grid for the remainder of the 2026 season following Alpine F1’s tie-up with legendary fashion brand Gucci, sources have told TopGear.com. The Enstone-based outfit has ordered its drivers to finish well after the races have ended so that they can be ‘fashionably late’. And team bosses have said that should either driver attempt aggressive overtakes or show any racer’s instinct, the pit wall will be allowed to limit that car’s power to slow it down because ‘trying so hard to win really isn’t cool’. “This partnership with one of the world’s most famous fashion icons will reinvigorate our team,” a source told TG. “Having spent years stuck in a revolving door of personnel, scrapping for minor points to now finally making headway in the championship, we’re now going to spend the rest of 2026 looking just really, really bloody cool. “Gone is the nursery pink and blue, and in comes an iconic Italian colourway that’ll look so amazingly good when Gasly and Colapinto are cruising around the circuit at a relaxed, fashionable pace. “Winning isn’t cool,” the source added. “Not trying to win in a car capable of a solid midfield points finish is.” Sources confirmed Gasly and Colapinto’s racing overalls would be replaced with tailor-made wool suits that are at once perfect for both casual and formalwear, while the cars would undergo a drastic redesign to shorten the length, add in double cuffs on the front splitter and

Antonelli vows to 'keep levelling up' as he shares mindset over developing title fight with Russell

Antonelli vows to ‘keep levelling up’ as he shares mindset over developing title fight with Russell Kimi Antonelli has won the last four Grands Prix on the bounce to open up a sizeable lead in the Drivers’ Championship. Kimi Antonelli has made clear that he “can’t relax” despite moving 43 points clear of Mercedes team mate George Russell in the championship standings after the Canadian Grand Prix. Antonelli added to wins in China, Japan and Miami by triumphing at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve last weekend, taking full advantage of Russell’s terminal technical problems that struck while they were fighting for the lead. It means Antonelli’s points advantage is bigger than the gap between McLaren team mates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri ever was in the race for the 2025 title, with F1 now moving on to a busy European phase. Asked about having a bit of breathing space over Russell going into the next rapid-fire run of events, Antonelli said: “Yeah, but to be fair, I’m not thinking about the championship. I’m just focusing on race by race. “I think it’s still very early to talk about that, and of course, now I have this gap, but that doesn’t mean I can relax and just take it easier. Instead, I need to keep levelling up and keep raising the bar, because it’s not going to be easy. “Competitors are getting closer, and also George is super quick, so definitely I’m just going to try to focus on myself and enjoy the driving, and trying to really drive as fast as possible.” Antonelli went on to offer some more reflections on his ebbing and flowing battle with Russell over the first half of the Montreal race, which followed a similarly tight scrap in the previous day’s Sprint. “It was a tough

Hamilton praises Ferrari for 'moving mountains' behind the scenes after Canada breakthrough

Hamilton praises Ferrari for ‘moving mountains’ behind the scenes after Canada breakthrough Lewis Hamilton achieved his best Grand Prix result with Ferrari at the Canadian Grand Prix, crossing the line in second position. Lewis Hamilton has spoken of his gratitude and satisfaction after putting together one of his strongest weekends with Ferrari since he joined the team ahead of the 2025 season. Hamilton experienced a difficult first year at the famous Italian marque as he got used to a new environment and new car, going without a Grand Prix podium across 24 events and finishing 86 points behind team mate Charles Leclerc in the Drivers’ Championship. However, 2026 has looked much brighter for the Briton so far, after maximising his first full winter at Ferrari’s Maranello factory, making changes to his engineering set-up and adapting well to F1’s all-new era of regulations. Following his first Grand Prix podium for Ferrari in China, Hamilton appeared to find another level last time out in Canada, where he led the Ferrari charge for the majority of the weekend and raced his way to second position. Reflecting on the result, which was secured via a late scrap with former title rival Max Verstappen, Hamilton said: “I had so much fun out there all weekend – every single lap. I felt like we started on the right foot, came with the right attitude, and the car really generally felt great. “To come to Montreal, a track that I do love, and get to enjoy a Sprint weekend here, which is the first that we’ve had [here], was awesome – and this is my first second place with the team. “It’s something I’ve been working so hard [for]… I can’t even begin to explain how deep I’ve had to dig to be able to get to

Gaming And PC Technology Expansion Will Transform The Industry

Last Update 02 Mar 26 Fair value Decreased 8.57%CRSR: Expanding AI Peripherals Ecosystem And Buybacks Will Support Future Upside Corsair Gaming’s analyst price target has been revised to $8.00 from $8.75, as analysts incorporate more conservative assumptions for revenue growth and profit margins, along with a higher projected future P/E multiple, despite mixed recent target changes across the Street. Analyst Commentary Street research on Corsair Gaming has been active, with several firms adjusting their price targets in both directions. While most recent changes reflect lower targets, there is at least one target increase, which highlights a split view on execution and valuation. Bullish Takeaways - Bullish analysts who raised their target highlight potential for the company to support a higher future P/E multiple. This suggests they see room for the market to ascribe more value to the earnings stream than peers trimming targets. - The presence of both target reductions and a target increase suggests some analysts still see upside optionality if management can execute on revenue and margin assumptions that are closer to the upper end of current expectations. - Supportive commentary around raising a target, even modestly, points to confidence that current valuation already reflects a good portion of execution risk. In their view, this could limit further downside. Bearish Takeaways - Bearish analysts have lowered targets by amounts ranging from about US$1 to US$2, indicating they are baking in more conservative revenue trajectories and margin outcomes into their models. - Multiple target cuts released on similar dates show a concentration of caution around the same information set. This can weigh on sentiment and compress the valuation investors are willing to pay. - The downward revisions suggest these analysts see limited room for upside to their prior assumptions on growth or profitability. This in turn caps their view

Why Ollie Bearman is taking 'belief and motivation' from Kimi Antonelli's 'really cool' battle ...

Why Bearman is taking ‘belief and motivation’ from Antonelli’s ‘really cool’ battle with Russell Ollie Bearman is enjoying watching former F2 team mate Kimi Antonelli race at the front of the F1 pack. Ollie Bearman has explained how the developing battle between Kimi Antonelli and George Russell is giving him extra belief and motivation, with the Haas driver eager to follow his former F2 team mate to front of the Formula 1 field. Bearman and Antonelli were paired at Prema Racing during the 2024 F2 season, after which the Briton secured a full-time F1 promotion with Haas – via his spectacular stand-in Ferrari showing in Saudi Arabia – and the Italian stepped up with Mercedes. While Bearman is building up in the midfield, Antonelli immediately slotted into a front-running seat, scoring three podiums and 150 points across his rookie campaign, and starting F1’s new era with four wins from the first five rounds of 2026. In doing so, Antonelli has taken the fight to more experienced Mercedes team mate Russell – their intra-team rivalry stepping up a gear at the recent Canadian Grand Prix when they went wheel-to-wheel for victory in the Sprint and main race. Asked for his thoughts on what unfolded in Montreal in an appearance on the Drive To Wynn podcast, Bearman said: “Those two are operating at an incredible level. It was really, really cool to see the battle, how they pushed each other to the absolute limit, but still gave each other respect, which is incredibly important between team mates. “I really enjoyed watching, and I also enjoyed watching Kimi taking the fight at the front. Of course, I know him very well, he was my team mate in F2, and it’s really, really nice to see. I’m enjoying watching them, and long may it

iRacing has officially unveiled its Season 3 2026 development update, and the upcoming release is shaping up to be one of the platform’s biggest updates in recent memory. From new cars and tracks to long-awaited quality-of-life features and significant progress on Career Mode and the Spark graphics engine, Season 3 appears focused on improving nearly every aspect of the sim racing experience. Here’s a closer look at the biggest announcements coming to iRacing in Season 3. BMW M2 Racing Headlines New Vehicle Additions One of the most anticipated additions arriving in Season 3 is the all-new BMW M2 Racing. The new G87-generation machine replaces the current BMW M2 CS Racing in official series competition while remaining free content for all iRacing members. According to iRacing, the updated car features a completely redesigned cockpit, updated visuals, and improvements across the board. For many drivers, the BMW M2 platform has become one of the best stepping stones between entry-level sports cars and higher-performance GT machinery, making this update especially important for newer racers climbing the sports car ladder. Season 3 will also introduce: - Euro NASCAR RC01 - Two new Formula Vee variants - BMW M Hybrid V8 Evo upgrade - Dallara IR18 updates - Physics refreshes for SK and Tour Modifieds The Euro NASCAR RC01 may be particularly interesting for NASCAR and oval racing fans looking to expand into road racing without leaving behind the sound and feel of a traditional V8 stock car. Laguna Seca Gets a Complete Rebuild Arguably the biggest track announcement of the update is the complete rebuild of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. One of the oldest tracks on the service, Laguna Seca has been rescanned and recreated from the ground up using modern laser scanning and photogrammetry technology. SimRacing Expo 2026 Roundup: 10 Sim Racing Products You Should Check Out

Over Memorial Day Weekend, I was invited to attend the 2026 SimRacing Expo in Charlotte on behalf of DualShockers. Not only was this event simply a blast in general to attend thanks to all the insane sim racing rigs I could hop on and test out, but I also got to go hands-on with many exciting pieces of tech entering the sim racing fray. First SimRacing Expo in USA Huge Success, Confirmed Already to Return in 2027 If you missed it this year, it's time to go ahead and mark your calendar. The following selection of ten products I'd like to highlight are definitely not exhaustive of all the cool things I was able to see over the weekend from dozens of amazing and passionate teams. They are, however, ten things that I was particularly excited about, and that I think deserve some extra attention. Whether these are potentially life-changing sim racing rigs, great entry points, or simply something tangentially related to the world of sim racing I think you should know about, we'll cover everything below from the 2026 SimRacing Expo. 10 GameSir and Trak Racer's TR640 Force Feedback Controller Sim Racing in the Palm of Your Hand Something I spoke a lot with between dev teams and peers at the show alike was accessibility in sim racing. Let's be honest; not all of us can afford an incredible four, five, or even six-figure sim racing rig, as much as we'd love to have one. With this in mind, one product I really enjoyed taking a closer look at was the TR640 Force Feedback Controller, which is the result of a partnership between Trak Racer and GameSir. With a price point just under $200, it's one of your most cost-effective ways to get into the sim world without going
