SimRacing Expo partners with Euro NASCAR Series driver Garrett Lowe

SimRacing Expo partners with Euro NASCAR Series driver Garrett Lowe The real-world racer and sim racing competitor will have SimRacing Expo branding on his paint scheme and will be interviewed during the SimRacing Expo Charlotte event. NASCAR Euro Series competitor Garrett Lowe will be making a video-link appearance at the upcoming SimRacing Expo Charlotte. Visitors to the event in the city’s Convention Center can watch a live Q&A session with the driver, which runs between 22nd and 24th May. Following a successful, race-winning career in the NASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, Lowe entered the real-world NASCAR Euro Series in 2025 with BS+Competition (run by Bremotion). The North Carolina native would finish sixth in his debut season, with two podium appearances. Alongside his event appearance, the SimRacing Expo will sponsor his Chevrolet Camaro for the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season. Lowe will be competing at the second round, Circuit Paul Ricard, France, during the show, hence the video link interview. “Being involved with the SimRacing Expo is such a cool way to showcase the interchange between sim racing and real-world motorsports,” said Lowe. “From driving to engineering and analysis, sim racing has formed a basis to launch careers throughout the motorsports industry. It is awesome to be partnered with an organisation that cares so deeply about the sim racing community, and I am excited to be a part of this great showcase. “I’m also proud to represent the SimRacing Expo in both the NASCAR Euro Series and the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.” Discussion 0 Comments Join the discussion Join Traxion.gg to start discussing with members. Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Something Wicked This Way Comes

A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday. Noteworthy this week is Race A’s choice of car: the Wicked Fabrication GT 51, an in-game name that takes a moment to unpack. The car is the 2016 GT Awards winner, Bruce Levens’ 1951 Ford Coupe, built by Chad Wick of Wicked Fabrication. It debuted at SEMA in Las Vegas with hand-formed body panels, a gold powder-coated 1956 Lincoln V8 by engine builder Ron Shaver, and one-off Halibrand-cast wheels copied from a 1930s Novi Indycar. After nearly a decade in the queue, it finally arrived in GT7, and now it’s a one-make field of twelve at Trial Mountain for four laps on Sports Hards. Race B moves to Gr.3 around the Yamagiwa layout at Kyoto Driving Park for five laps, with sixteen cars on the grid. Yamagiwa is curb-heavy, and Gr.3 cars don’t always like using them, so be careful out there. Race C is the long one: eleven laps of Spa-Francorchamps in Gr.1, with 2x fuel, 5x tire wear, and sixteen cars. GT7’s Gr.1 is a bit all over the map and the cars can be difficult to drive, but you should find Spa’s mix of long straights and high-speed sweepers a good match. What the teams said – Race day in Miami

Mercedes Antonelli won his third Grand Prix in a row, but once again he had to work hard for the victory. He lost the lead off the line after locking up into Turn 1, and spent the early part of the race swapping positions with both Leclerc and Norris as those three battled up front. The youngster was lying second behind Norris when the team called him in to undercut his rival, which worked perfectly. He found himself on fresh tyres in the lead of the race, and managed to soak up the pressure from the World Champion behind to win by just over three seconds. Russell also had to work hard for his points in Miami. He was further back early on, but the team pitted him early and that made his race. He wound up undercutting Leclerc for starters, and while he then lost out to the Ferrari man, he was able to chase him down late on. But it was a messy end for Russell, who made contact with Verstappen fighting for position, made contact with Leclerc too and crossed the line with sparks flying from a damaged front wing endplate. Kimi Antonelli, 1st "That was not an easy race at all but I’m so happy we were able to bring the victory home. My start wasn’t as bad as in the Sprint, but we still lost a position. I then lost a place to Lando (Norris) before the Safety Car, but we were able to fight back. Our pace was strong, I was able to stay close, and then the team did a brilliant job with the strategy. The undercut worked out just about perfectly and, despite the McLaren coming out just ahead, we were able to get past with our tyres being up to temperature.

Logitech RS-H Shifter Review

Driving games are one of the few genres with dedicated peripherals for use by some of the more enthusiastic members of the community. Fighting, flight sims, and driving/racing have all seen an influx of top-tier accessories to complete one’s setup, and Logitech is now expanding its catalogue with the RS-H Shifter. Logitech was kind enough to send one over so I could put it through the paces and see how it performs. The first thing I did when I got the RS-H Shifter was figure out where to mount it, since my current racing setup doesn’t offer a convenient mounting position. I quickly found the spare Ikea side table we have around the house and mounted it there using the included C-pattern mount, which screws into the bottom of the device’s body. 4 screws down and I was off to the races (pun very much intended). Before I get too carried away, I want to go over what you get in the box. It’s a pretty barebones package, but that’s to be expected. In the box, you get the base unit itself, the shifter knob to attach it, the mounting bolts and a hex key to secure them to the base, and the mounting bracket (for which usage is optional). The RS-H Shifter itself is very well-built. Its housing is made from the same material as the RS-50 and G-Pro wheel bases and looks just as good. The shift arm (to which the knob is mounted) is made from durable low-carbon aluminum to keep physical weight low and ease of use high. “The RS-H Shifter itself is very well-built.” One of the absolute best things about the RS-H Shifter is its compatibility. Given that you are using a compatible RS50/G-Pro wheel base, you can use the RS-H Shifter on PC,

Project Motor Racing's Japanese DLC reappears with a new name

The move happened without warning, followed by a vague statement a day later, stating: “We believe this is the responsible course of action while good-faith discussions continue. No further information was provided, in what is presumed to be a licensing-related dispute. Now, 4th May 2026, and following a period of server maintenance for the Straight4 Studios-created sim racing game, digital stores have been updated. According to the PlayStation Store, for instance, the content’s name has been changed from ‘Japanese GT500 DLC’ to ‘Japanese Prototypes DLC’. Notably, the ‘GT500’ and ‘JGTC’ suffixes have been removed from each car name (full list below). These have been replaced with ‘JP1’ and ‘JP2’ respectively. Strangely, the older JP2 Toyota Supra has changed from 2002 to 2003 specification. Otherwise, it’s believed that all cars, liveries and the Takimiya Circuit (inspired by the Okayama venue) remain unaltered, with the vehicles remaining officially licensed. GT500 is the name of the premier class in the real-world Japanese motorsport championship, Super GT, from which these cars race. Before the title change in 2005, it was formerly known as the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship, or JGTC for short. No formal ‘Super GT’ branding is part of the DLC pack, and now, too, class references and abbreviations have been removed. No clarification from Straight4 Studios was forthcoming at the time of publication. It’s not yet clear when the content will be back on sale, but it’s expected imminently. Article Update As of 15:27 BST, 04/05/2026, the Japanese Prototypes DLC is now on sale for PlayStation and Xbox, with Steam due soon. A general game update is also live across all platforms, updating the DLC for existing owners. It also brings with it Multi-Draw Indirect (MDI), a new relative timings leaderboard option, further changes to throttle response and anti-cheat, plus

iRacing Nürburgring 24h: Verstappen Sim Racing wins, breaks distance record

VSR locked out the front row, with #4 taking pole from #3, but as the race got underway, #3 settled into the lead, getting a gap just before the first stops. They were caught again in the second hour, and the front group briefly grew to five, but some aggressive defending from their teammates ensured a proper lead for #3 after two hours. After nearly a third of the race, the gap between the teammates was around six seconds, but Diogo Pinto sped on the exit of pitlane in his eighth stop, handing the lead to #4 and second to Bleu Mecure Esports. Unfortunately for the French outfit, a disconnection from Emanuele Olivieri took them out of contention shortly after. VSR returned to run one-two, but two hours later, #3 spun and scraped the wall. They continued their stint as normal to not disrupt their planned strategy, but the damage cost them well over half a minute. It created a three-way fight for second, against Drago Racing and WSR Esports in the best non-BMW in the race. Unfortunately, this would last only just over the halfway mark, as they all piled into an incident with a lower-class BMW M2 halfway around the lap. Drago was most affected, followed by WSR and the #3. By this stage, the #4 held a lead well over 90 seconds, but when Gustavo Ariel made his own contact with another M2, they received a meatball flag, which turned the race on its head. The #3 now led, and WSR Esports in their newfound second place, then crashed soon after with 8:30 to go, ending hopes of a first Ferrari win for seven years. It was the turn of the #3 VSR BMW to lead by a minute, which they held over Williams and Falken Simracing,

ASETEK INITIUM Racing Wheel Review: Sim Racing Excellence

Sim racing in the PC sphere continues to grow with more and more smaller companies getting in on the competition. The Sim Racing Expo is the perfect example of this as it comes to the United States for the first time in late May. One company moved away from its previous tech venture into the sim racing space, and this was ASETEK. Once an all-in-one liquid cooler space dating back to 2000, ASETEK pivoted to sim racing in 2021 and has an established product library after 12 years. Its latest venture, the recently released to the United States INITIUM Racing Bundle, is categorized as a beginner's wheel, but it raises that bar once you're in the seat. Review: MotoGP 26 MotoGP 26 makes a bold move with Rider-Based Handling, separating the rider from the bike for more dynamic weight changes and improved realism. Details About ASETEK Product Line ASETEK offers four sim racing product lines that are headlined by its INVICTA line, which is its flagship racing line. This is the premiere wheel setup that ranges in the thousands of dollars. The Forte is geared towards a mid-tier experience that provides more advanced features without breaking the bank. The La Prima line was the previous entry level line with quite a bit of customization, but is now the next level of evolution for those desiring to piece together their rigs. These companies that get into the sim racing space are focusing on PC, but the INITIUM is compatible with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. This is similar to the MOZA R5 wheel setup that was reviewed a while ago. There doesn't seem to be a push for getting these wheels on PlayStation 5, where Gran Turismo 7 lives. Having Xbox compatibility is a big positive to expand the player

F1: Antonelli Wins Miami GP as Norris, Piastri Complete Podium | autoX

Miami GP saw early crashes, a safety car and strategy calls that shaped the final order as F1 drivers fought for positions across the field. By Divyam Dubey If there was any doubt about Kimi Antonelli’s start to the 2026 Formula 1 season, Miami just cleared it. Three races, three poles, three wins. The 19-year-old is not just leading the championship; he is setting the tone. Around the Miami International Autodrome, Antonelli kept things under control to beat Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while George Russell watched from fourth. Also Read: Ex-F1 Racer and Paralympic Gold Medallist Alex Zanardi Dies Aged 59 The race start had the usual Miami chaos, even after organisers moved things earlier to avoid the rain. Antonelli did not get the cleanest launch, which opened the door for Charles Leclerc into Turn 1. Max Verstappen tried to follow that move but ended up spinning instead. Norris and Piastri suddenly found themselves right in the mix, reshuffling the order within seconds. It did not take long for things to escalate. Lewis Hamilton picked up damage after contact with Franco Colapinto, adding to the opening lap's mess. Then came the major incident on lp 6, as Pierre Gasly went into a heavy roll after tangling with Liam Lawson, bringing out the safety car and halting the early momentum. Gasly walked away, which mattered most, but both drivers were out on the spot. Isack Hadjar also found the wall on the same lap, while Nico Hulkenberg retired with a technical issue. It turned into one of those early race phases where survival felt as important as outright pace for most of the grid. When the race resumed, Norris looked sharp and moved into the lead, building on his sprint win from earlier in the weekend. Verstappen went for a
