Revosim and Aston Martin just unleashed my dream F1 sim racing upgrade, so I took it rallying instead like a madman The best F1 sim racing setup...for rally!? Yes, I know that to the sim racers amongst you, this is a cursed image — an F1-style wheel with a gear shifter and handbrake. The layout is also cursed too, but you can blame the limited space to bolt addons to the PlaySeat Formula Instinct rig. The big news here is that Revosim has teamed up with Aston Martin to bring this new F1 wheel add-on to the RS Pure Sim — including this flatter, wider F1-style wheel, magnetic mounting cap with the badge, driving gloves and the carbon paddles for £129. In my testing, for enhancing steering feel in these beasty cars, this definitely performs much better than the real-life team is doing right now (...that was low, apologies to the team). But while I am very much a track racer, I want the flexibility to dip into rally and drifting too. So I got the £439 Revosim bundle with shifter, loadcell handbrake and clutch pedal too for the full experience, and while I absolutely suck at rallying right now, it’s a lot of fun with these. Let me explain. P1 for F1 racing So let’s talk about the Aston Martin tie in here to begin with, because this is a great attachment if track racing is your thing. For those not in the know, there are some real benefits to a formula-style wheel that fundamentally changes the ergonomics and physics of how you interact with the sim For the 180-degree rotation range of a track car over the 360 degrees of a standard roadcar, you’ll have your hands permanently locked to the wheel in the 9-and-3 position. This is

Nacon Revosim Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team custom set review: a compelling racing upgrade Hit the track with Nacon’s new Aston Martin F1-style wheel 🏆 Review Score: 4.5/5 – ‘Awesome!’ ✅ Pros: 🔧 Excellent build quality and premium feel 🏎️ The F1-style wheel is better suited to some racing experiences 👏 Easy to set up and customize to your liking 🤝 Compatible with the existing Revosim Pure RS bundle 💰 More affordable than other wheels sold by competing sim makers ❌ Cons: 🤷♂️ The F1-style wheel isn’t really suited to rally or truck-driving games 😔 You can’t hot swap between wheels The Shortcut Review The Nacon Revosim Pure RS bundle is a fantastic and affordable way to get into sim racing as it comes with a powerful 9Nm wheel base, Hall effect, cell loaded pedals, and a wheel with a built-in RPM indicator. However, the Nacon Revosim just got even better for F1 enthusiasts thanks to the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team custom set. It adds a new dimension to an already compelling sim racing setup and makes careering around the track even more fun and realistic than before. Read my full Nacon Revosim Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team custom set review below. A review unit was provided by Nacon. What I loved about the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team custom set ❤️ 🤝 Created in partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team. Every element of the wheel and optional accessories feels premium and well-thought out. It’s easy to install: simply remove the central mounting screws with the included hex key, and you can effortlessly swap the Revosim Pure RS wheel for the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team one. A strong magnet bearing the team’s logo pops onto the center, covering up the mounting screws for a cleaner look.

The SimRacing Expo is making its first appearance from Germany over to the United States at the end of May. From May 22-24, taking place during Memorial Day Weekend in the USA, and more importantly in Charlotte, North Carolina, will co-exist alongside NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 on that Sunday. While a ton of partners and exhibitors have been announced, there has not been a headline sponsor for the event. That changed today, as D-BOX will be the headline sponsor for the world's largest consumer and trade show that is dedicated to virtual motorsport. If you are involved in sim racing, this expo will be a must to attend. More About Adding D-BOX to the SimRacing Expo D-BOX is no stranger to hardware as for the past 25 years, the company develops precision motion systems as a haptic technology leader. Translating digital content into physical sensations is what D-BOX does best. The motors in the wheels and that you feel in controllers? Translating the data from the game over to a device so that it can actually do this is what D-BOX is an expert in. The use of movement, weight transfer, vibrations and texture in real-time with high-fidelity, durable and performance systems literally defines what a sim racing wheel does. Review: ASETEK INITIUM Racing Bundle Diving into the world of sim racing, ASETEK's INITIUM Racing Bundle promises a beginner's wheel experience that quickly elevates beyond expectations. The technology introduced by D-BOX combines high-precision motion hardware (actuators) that reproduce movement in real time and control software that translates information and haptic effects into very precision motion cues. It is also in 1,100 movie theaters across the world, and is used in simulation and training for professional environments. Sim racing wouldn't exist without this technology. D-BOX will collaborate with eNASCAR, Trak Racer, VRX

“Throughout RENNSPORT’s history, we went through multiple troubling situations and are fully aware that our community deserves better,” a statement read. “Our recent separation from Nacon, however, while causing some delays currently, will allow us to be much more flexible in the future with our plans, so people can expect some positives out of this, once everything has settled. “And the goal for 2026 is clear: Becoming more transparent again and greatly improving the RENNSPORT experience. “As we are waiting for the last self-publishing steps to complete, which will allow us to finally release the next big update to the game, we are already taking the first steps towards being more open with the community again – as can be seen with our recent communication. “We thank everyone for their patience as we work hard towards improving ourselves again,” it concluded. Delays Rennsport has thus far failed to release an updated build in 2026, with its first DLC pack, the Endurance Classics Part 1 (including the Porsche 911 GT1, Mercedes-Benz CLK LM, Porsche 956, Peugeot 9X8 EVO, Circuit de la Sarthe), originally slated for release late last year. The game has suffered from scatty AI, choppy visual performance and declining player numbers since (just 27 players booted up Rennsport in the last 24 hours, according to SteamDB). Naturally, Competition Company’s desire to improve the game has been hit severely by Nacon’s financial turmoil. However, with self-publishing, updates and DLC should now roll out across the PC, Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game, although firm dates have not been confirmed. These will arrive after another free update (currently scheduled for ‘May’), which will likely include the Hyundai N Vision 74, Kuala Lumpur circuit and two alternative track layouts for Fuji Speedway and Road Atlanta. I think everyone knows about race-car simulators, and all the cool steering wheels and pedals you can get to bring your driving experience to life, but alongside that is a whole other world of Simulators from Farming to Flying and if there’s one thing I can tell you a bit about it’s flight simulators because between my son Harri and I – he’s 14 – it’s a passion in our home! Across the world the leading Flight Simulator, Microsoft Flight Simulator, has over 20 million players, 500,000 of them here in Australia – it’s a huge market. And what those players are looking for to enhance their gaming experience is flight controls. What we’re talking about there are the things pilots use to control their planes, it’s not the wheel – it’s a yoke, some planes use a joystick, some have side controls for flaps and thrust and then there’s the pedals, or rudders. That’s the tip of the iceberg too. In our home we have a whole flight seat setup from Aussie sim company Next Level Racing – but that seat is no good without some controls attached. Recently, we’ve been testing a pretty advanced bit of kit – the Turtle Beach Velocity One Flight Deck. At a glance you think joystick, but it’s so, so much more. At $699, (Less at Kogan) it’s actually a really great price for a single bit of kit that will have you feeling like you’re really in control. It’s the combination of the throttle control and joystick that makes it a perfect combo. Harri says “The Turtle Beach Velocity One Flight Deck is an amazing piece of kit. It is good for any age, if you’re into space flight it’s got you, if you’re into military flight it’s got you and finally

There aren’t many Cup Series drivers who can say they’ve beaten Shane van Gisbergen on a road course. Chris Buescher is one of them. The Prosper, Texas, native — who just scored his best career finish at Texas Motor Speedway of fifth last weekend — defeated SVG at Watkins Glen International two seasons ago in a finish for the ages. Van Gisbergen fired to the lead in overtime, but on the final lap, the Kiwi bobbled coming through the bus stop, allowing Buescher to use his bumper and surge for a win in the Finger Lakes. RELATED: Watkins Glen weekend schedule | Cup Series standings Since turning to the Next Gen chassis in 2022, Buescher has quietly been one of the best on the road. The Glen is his only triumph, but over the last 24 races turning left and right, the No. 17 RFK Racing driver has 17 top-10 finishes. That road course prowess dates back to his O’Reilly Series days and early years in Cup, when Buescher benefited from additional time in Ford’s simulator. While veteran drivers didn’t prioritize that type of preparation, Buescher became a sponge. “When the Ford simulator was pretty new and a lot of our veteran drivers weren‘t really keen on spending much time over there yet, there was a lot of open windows,” Buescher said in a Wednesday teleconference. “There were many eight-hour sessions spent over there, just across the street, getting to know a lot of race tracks that I hadn‘t been to before O‘Reilly or Cup racing at the time. And then trying to figure out how to be better at the types of race tracks that we don‘t get to see that often and that‘s road courses for us. “We‘ve spent our fair share of time over in the simulator

Lenovo has expanded its multi-year partnership with Formula 1, securing the role of Official Technology Provider for the 2026 F1 Sim Racing World Championship. The deal allows Lenovo’s involvement to go beyond real-world race operations and broadcast delivery into the competitive virtual sphere, equipping the world’s top sim racing talent with professional-grade hardware. The Hardware Stack To meet the precision requirements of professional sim racing, Lenovo is deploying a standardized high-performance ecosystem for all competitors: - Lenovo Legion Tower 5i (30L, 10): High-frame-rate desktop PCs designed to provide a stable, responsive racing environment. - Lenovo Legion Pro 32UD-10 Monitors: 31.5-inch 4K OLED displays featuring deep contrast and ultra-realistic visuals intended to maximize driver immersion. Operational Footprint The 2026 season launched at DreamHack Birmingham in March. The remainder of the 12-round championship is hosted at Formula 1’s Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, UK. This facility serves as the hub for F1’s global broadcast operations, further integrating virtual racing into the sport’s core technical infrastructure. “Partnerships like this are important to our innovation cycle, providing real-world insights that continuously inform and improve the design of our products—just like F1 serves as a premier proving ground for automotive innovation.” — Volker Düring, VP & GM, PC Gaming Business, Lenovo. For Lenovo, the championship serves as a high-stress testing environment for its Legion gaming line. Powering both the virtual series and the real-world broadcast infrastructure also enables Lenovo to demonstrate the reliability of its “AI-ready” portfolio across 180 global markets. All rounds of the competition will be broadcast live across Formula 1’s digital platforms.

Juan Pablo Montoya disagreed with Jolyon Palmer’s claim that Max Verstappen’s harmless spin at the start of the Miami Grand Prix was down to driver skill. The Dutchman found himself at the centre of a dramatic moment at the start while trying to snatch the race lead from Charles Leclerc, losing control of the car over the kerbs before somehow managing to keep it out of the wall despite the entire field flying past on both sides. Thanks to that remarkable save, Verstappen was able to continue the race after losing only a handful of positions. He then switched to an alternative strategy by diving into the pits following the Safety Car deployment on lap six, triggered by the incident involving both his teammate and Pierre Gasly. The spin quickly became a talking point between the two former drivers, who shared contrasting views on the incident while speaking on F1 TV. Palmer believed the moment was down to Verstappen’s exceptional car control and ability behind the wheel, whereas the Colombian argued the Dutchman was simply fortunate not to be collected by the cars around him or suffer any damage. Palmer praised Verstappen’s car control, saying the Dutchman has “such a skill set at spinning cars and getting it going again at the right point,” before Montoya immediately pushed back by asking: “You think that’s talent? I thought it was pure luck.” Photo: Red Bull Content Pool Montoya demands crackdown on Verstappen over criticism of F1 reg The Colombian did not just focus on the four-time world champion’s spin, but also called for harsh sanctions following his explosive rant and criticism of the current Formula 1 regulations. Speaking on the Chequered Flag podcast, Montoya argued that while drivers are entitled to disagree with the rules and openly voice their frustration, there
