Toyota Connect, developed by LG Uplus in cooperation with Toyota Motor Korea, is a platform based on the integrated infotainment service 'U+ Drive'. It provides navigation, music streaming, TV content and voice recognition.
The upgraded Toyota Connect features added entertainment content and new navigation. LG Uplus installed 'Toyota TV', which lets users watch various real-time channels and video-on-demand content in the vehicle. It also added the curation-based music service 'Essential', allowing playback of playlists across various themes.
LG Uplus also applied a hybrid navigation system that supports both online and offline environments. Hybrid navigation provides uninterrupted guidance even in areas where communications are not smooth, helping drivers operate more reliably.
LG Uplus plans to continue updating the Toyota Connect service. It will work closely with Toyota Motor Korea so Toyota Connect can be applied to models after the All New RAV4.

Two men found guilty over Starmer-linked arson attacks Two men have been found guilty of conspiring to carry out arson attacks on property and a car connected to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. Ukrainian national Roman Lavrynovych, 22, and Ukrainian-born Romanian national Stanislav Carpiuc, 27, were convicted by an Old Bailey jury. In May 2025, a Toyota once owned by Sir Keir was set alight in a street in north London. Days later two homes were set ablaze, including one rented out to the prime minister's sister-in-law, which he still owned. The prosecution told the court Lavrynovych carried out the arson attacks after being recruited online by Russian-speaking Telegram user "El Money" who promised him payment. Lavrynovych was acquitted of damaging property by fire with intent to endanger life on 11 and 12 May 2025 at two properties in north London. He was convicted of alternate counts of damaging property by fire being reckless as to whether life was endangered. A third man, Petro Pochynok, 35, was found not guilty of conspiracy to commit arson. All three, who live in London, had denied conspiring together and "with others" to damage property by fire between 1 April and 13 May 2025. On 8 May 2025, a car previously owned by the prime minister was found on fire on a street he previously lived on in Kentish Town. Three days later, a fire was discovered at flats linked to Sir Keir in nearby Islington. He had lived there years before. On 12 May 2025, a fire was discovered at the entrance to Sir Keir's Kentish Town home, which was being rented out to his sister-in-law. Israel’s national airline El Al will adopt SpaceX‘s Starlink in-flight connectivity (IFC). The airline said it is signing an agreement with Starlink, and service will be rolled out gradually, beginning next year. El Al shared the news in a post on X on Monday that was light on details, like whether or not the service will be free for customers, or a more specific rollout schedule. El Al has worked with Viasat for IFC and launched Viasat in-flight Wi-Fi service on transatlantic flights in 2019. “We continue to invest in the most advanced products and services in order to enhance your travel experience, from the ground to the air,” El AL said in a statement. This announcement comes after El Al had a tough first quarter due to the conflict in Iran and subsequent airport shutdowns in Israel. As a result, car companies are banking on hybrids and plug-in hybrids, and more people are spending their hard-earned money on electrified cars to try to lower their fuel bills. I did the same thing last year, when I bought a used 2023 Volvo V90 plug-in hybrid wagon, and during my 14-month ownership, I’ve had time to do several experiments. I’ve already checked the high-voltage battery’s degradation and found that there is nothing measurable, and now I’ve had the chance to test how big of an impact the different driving modes have on the fuel economy. 2023 Volvo V90 T8 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid charging To my surprise, spending some time fiddling with the settings while driving made a meaningful impact, resulting in an average fuel economy of 50 mpg US (4.5 l/100 km) on a roughly 250-mile (400-kilometer) trip that began with a fully charged battery.
