Verstappen predicts the result of the Netherlands vs Sweden World Cup match

Max Verstappen expects the Netherlands to beat Sweden tonight. During a Verstappen Sim Racing livestream, the four-time world champion predicted a 2-1 win for his country. During the livestream, Verstappen was asked what he expects from the Netherlands’ second group match at the World Cup. The Red Bull Racing driver didn’t have to think long and predicted a 2-1 victory for Ronald Koeman’s side. Verstappen is closely following the World Cup this summer. Earlier, the four-time world champion told, among others, GPblog that he tries to watch as many Dutch matches as possible, as well as games from other countries, despite his busy Formula 1 schedule. After the Spanish Grand Prix, he even rushed back to Monaco to catch the opening match against Japan live. Verstappen predicts a 2-1 win for the Netherlands against Sweden The Netherlands started the tournament with a 2–2 draw against Japan and therefore face an important next match straight away. A victory would put the Dutch in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stage. However, a defeat would make it mathematically impossible for the Netherlands to finish top of the group. The match between the Netherlands and Sweden will be played on Saturday, June 20, at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Kickoff is at 6:00 PM (GMT). Sweden opened the World Cup with a convincing 5-1 win over Tunisia and therefore head into this group stage match as the leaders of Group F. After the clash with Sweden, the Netherlands will play against Tunisia. That game will be played on June 26 at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Kickoff is at 12:00 AM (GMT).

National, 19th June 2026: Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited (MFRL) today announced The Bishop’s School, Pune as the first Flagship Partner School under the Official F1® Sim Racing India Open Programme, a school-focused initiative aimed at introducing students to the world of sim racing and identifying emerging motorsport talent at an early stage. Australian rally and Esports competitor Luca Giacomin will be among the entrants competing at this month’s FIA Esports Global Rally Tour Asia-Pacific Assetto Corsa Shootout in Macau from 22–24 June. Sim rally drivers from across the Asia-Pacific region will converge on Macau for the event, where they will showcase their rallying abilities following an extensive qualifying campaign. Giacomin secured his place in the Shootout after setting the sixth-fastest qualifying time in the region, completing the Rally Wales Hafren North – Cwmbiga stage behind the wheel of a Hyundai i20N Rally2 in 6:13.567 to finish comfortably inside the top eight qualifiers. The Macau Shootout will determine the two Asia-Pacific representatives who will advance to the FIA Awards in Shanghai this December, where they will compete live against the world’s best Esports rally drivers. Drivers will contest a knockout format consisting of quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final to decide who progresses to Shanghai. No stranger to rallying, Giacomin competes both virtually and in the real world. He also operates his own rally team, which contests rounds of the Victorian and Australian Rally Championships. Aston Martin have announced that their third driver, Jak Crawford, will take part in his latest Free Practice 1 session at the Austrian Grand Prix. It will mark Crawford’s fourth FP1 appearance for Aston Martin and his second of the 2026 season, after Japan, while ticking off the second of the team’s four mandated rookie practice runs for the year. Off the back of a Pirelli tyre test with the team in Barcelona earlier this week, Crawford is due to take over Lance Stroll’s AMR26 for the opening one-hour session at the Red Bull Ring – a circuit he knows well from his F2 and F3 campaigns. The exact stage mileage is yet to be confirmed, but the Mediterranean country features dry, dusty and rock-strewn roads, one of which is known as Tarzan. Earlier this week, we speculated that a teaser graphic teased by Assetto Corsa social media accounts was this particular location.
