Concert News State Fair of Texas unveils full lineup of free music acts for 2026 Free music will be plentiful during the 2026 State Fair of Texas' 24-day run, September 25-October 18. The Fair has revealed its full lineup of music acts that will be playing on multiple stages around Fair Park this year. The Chevrolet Main Stage is where visitors will find the biggest acts playing during the fair, with over 30 singers and bands playing during the fair. Headliners include Clint Black, Bowling for Soup, Kansas, Queensrÿche, Deep Blue Something, Tripping Daisy, Toadies, RaeLynn, Muscadine Bloodline, Gym Class Heroes, and more. While the lineup on the main stage offers a wide variety of acts from different genres, it won't be the only option for visitors looking for a music break. The Bud Light Stage, near Cotton Bowl Stadium, will showcase local and regional talent, while the White Claw Spotlight Stage, located at the Grove on Nimitz, will feature a variety of artists from Dallas Music Office’s roster of talent, all local to the Dallas music scene. In addition, the brand-new ZiegenBock Stage, located at the newly renovated Old Mill Inn near Big Tex Circle, will provide a fun atmosphere for fairgoers to enjoy a live music experience in the shadow of Big Tex. The Fair is continuing its partnership with State Fair Records, the East Dallas-based label that programs and produces the Bud Light Stage and Old Mill Stage. "State Fair Records continues to raise the bar, selecting several up-and-coming and established Texas musicians who fit the mold of the most Texan place on Earth," said Jason Hays, SVP of Brand Experience, in a statement. Wreckreation 2 announced as new arcade racer slated for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, targetting 2027 Created by new studio When Tides Turn, formerly Three Fields Entertainment Set in a new open-world called Heartbreak City featuring city streets, docks and an airport New UK indie studio When Tides Turn (formerly Three Fields Entertainment) has unveiled Wreckreation 2, a surprise sequel to last year’s Burnout-inspired open-world arcade racer. In response to Wreckreation’s mixed reception, the sequel is taking a back-to-basics approach. Whereas the first game was set in a large open world with track creation tools, the sequel is smaller in scale but more focused as a result. “Over the last six months, we spent a lot of time talking to players, moderators and each other about what worked and what didn’t [about Wreckreation],” said When Tides Turn’s Studio Head and Executive Producer, Fiona Sperry. “And we kept coming back to the same conclusion: we didn’t need a bigger game. We just needed a more focused one.” According to Sperry, Wreckreation 2 is being developed around five key pillars: “a world built for racing, battling and crashing,” “driving that feels physical,” “every race is a battle,” “cars players grow attached to” and “a player-led creative community.” Wreckreation 2 is set in a new map called Heartbreak City, with a coastal setting reminiscent of Paradise City in Burnout Paradise. Compared to the previous game, the environment is smaller, but features “richer, more detailed locations”, according to Art Director Phil Pillpot. “One of the clearest messages from our first game was that they wanted a world that is denser, busier and more alive,” he explained. "It's win it or bin it stuff": Top Gear's first play of Wreckreation 2 Burnout fans unite, the spiritual sequel’s getting... er, a sequel, and we’ve played it Far away from the nu-school sim racing headspace where racers tweak their load cell brakes and read reddit threads about the best gloves to use with Alcantara racing wheels, there’s the gleeful arcade abandon of Wreckreation. Released in late 2025 by Three Fields Entertainment, it was the passion project of several Criterion veterans who brought Burnout to the world in the heady Noughties, and who evidently – correctly – thought we could do with some more of that high-octane bashing and barging in the austere 2020s. Thing is, it was a bit rough. This is a small team doing a big thing, capturing the lightning in a bottle that made Burnout such a success, while also modernising it and adding a very ambitious on-the-fly track customisation element to its open world. Critical sentiment, including our own, was tempered by those rough edges. So they’ve gone and made a sequel. Wreckreation 2 is in its early stages of development but nevertheless we’ve signed the waivers, accepted that the build might catch fire at any moment, and taken to the streets in a Dearborn & Schaeffer Nightranger. Vehicles are unlicensed and fictional, obviously, like those proudly ‘100% UNOFFICIAL!’ biographies of celebs. That allows Wreckreation 2 free reign to absolutely dismantle its roster of machinery at the slightest provocation, and as the keen-eyed will have deducted from the game name, that’s very much the point here. As before, wrecking other cars or performing dangerous feats like near misses, jumps, shunts and driving into oncoming traffic generates boost. Boost makes you go faster. Going faster is better. Right, that’s the gameplay mechanics covered. No, but really,

But of a joke really The tracks in LMU are really well made and this ‘not official WEC venue’ idea is one I can really get behind. Would rather they use WEC sponsors than ‘motorsport games’ being plastered everywhere, but it’s a minor quibble. I’ve no issues with the price and would love to buy the pack, but I am not giving another penny/cent to this game whilst the Single Player experience seems to be ignored by the developers. Headlining the additions will be revisions to the LiveSteward system and a new method of protesting incidents, with the aim of improving driving standards. There are two further 2026-season free car updates and longer practice sessions for those who subscribe. Under the hood, changes to the fundamental online structure will be implemented. The US Track Pass DLC (six circuits in the USA) has also been dated and priced. Here are the main features in the v1.4 patch. Driving standards features The way sim racers protest on-track disagreements is set to change significantly. To cut down on processing time, for intentional wrecks only, complaints will be submitted from within race replays, finding and sending across from the exact timestamp. Drivers will now have a protest credit system: three protests each month, one credit back for each successful protest. The computer-controlled LiveSteward system, which arrived in Version 1.2 last December as a background system to monitor poor driving, will henceforth automatically govern stationary vehicles and kick them back to the garage.
