The wait that Fanatec teased back in April is over…almost. The latest Fanatec App (version 1.5.1.2) ships firmware that finally brings FullForce to the CSL DD and Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel bases, the affordable end of the company’s officially-licensed lineup. The only issue is it doesn’t work in Gran Turismo 7 yet. We flagged this update as coming when Fanatec announced it in April, alongside the power bumps for the pricier ClubSport DD and DD+ bases. Now the firmware is actually here. To get it, download and install the latest Fanatec App, which walks you through flashing the base. For the uninitiated, FullForce is Fanatec’s name for the high-frequency force feedback effects that ride on top of the main directional forces (like curb texture and road surface detail) sent straight through the motor. It’s the same technology that arrived in Gran Turismo 7 with the Spec III update last December. On a 5 Nm or 8 Nm base that was never built for it, the extra layer of detail is a welcome upgrade. The Catch Because of the way Gran Turismo 7 handles specific licensed hardware, FullForce is not currently active on the GT DD Pro when you’re actually playing the game. Fanatec says support is “coming in a future update,” but that’s up to Polyphony Digital, and there’s no date attached. It’s a little messy, as the wheel everyone bought for Gran Turismo now supports the feature that Gran Turismo added in December, except the two can’t talk to each other yet. GT DD Pro owners can feel FullForce in other supported sims today, just not in the one with its logo on the box. I've been testing the top dog of Simagic's new Alpha Evo lineup, the Alpha Evo Ultra, and it overdelivers in every area. The sim racing hardware market is more competitive than ever before, with established brands like Fanatec, Thrustmaster, Asetek, Moza Racing, Simucube, Logitech and more, all attempting to nail the most important part of any sim racing set-up, the wheelbase. Simagic is a brand that hasn't been around for that long, but they've made an impact in the sim racing market. And, on paper, their new Alpha Evo lineup looks to be a really strong value, but how does the top-of-the-line model, the Alpha Evo Ultra, perform against the competition? Let's find out! Simagic Alpha Evo Ultra design and features The Alpha Evo Ultra delivers 28Nm of torque, putting it up against some of the most powerful, market-leading wheelbases in the market. It's got a lightweight, small-diameter motor, which Simagic says "reduces inertia for tighter, more responsive control", and claims to have zero-cogging tech through the use of a 5-pole-pair servo motor. Its 21-bit high-resolution encoder claims to deliver smooth, precise feedback with over 2 million steps per rotation. The wheelbase itself is made from CNC-machined aluminium, which also features tons of connection ports, 11 to be exact, from USB-C, USB-A and RJ45 ports which support CAN, CAN FD and USB. A really cool feature of the Alpha Evo Ultra is that it's compatible with most magnetic dashes; they just snap directly onto the wheelbase, so no external accessory is needed, which is a nice touch. Announced at Summer Game Fest, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush marks the fifth game based on the diecast toy car line in this console generation. However, it’s only the third entry developed by Milestone, which returns to the franchise for the first time since 2023’s revered Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. Its new subtitle is an important distinction, symbolising a bold new direction for the series. “This is not at all Hot Wheels Unleashed 3,” Milestone’s Development and Creative Director, Michele Caletti, affirmed during a preview event. “This game is very different, while retaining Milestone’s signature over the Hot Wheels IP.” Hot Wheels goes open world What makes Infinite Rush different from the last two games is that it takes the series open world, ditching its predecessor’s linear tracks in favour of four explorable islands. While Milestone’s MXGP and Monster Energy Supercross games let you free roam in small contained areas, Infinite Rush represents the studio’s first fully open-world game. Each island has a distinct theme, from a nature resort to an industrial environment filled with canyons, harbours and machinery that spills hazardous chemicals. After two intense eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series battles at Charlotte and Atlanta, won by ERA Esports Team’s Bobby Zalenski and Spire Motorsports’ Steven Wilson, respectively, those two and the others in the 40-man field will aim to double up their win total by scoring the inaugural victory at Naval Base Coronado—also known as Qualcomm Circuit—this Tuesday night. The last few seasons have featured a rotating road course from around the world. From Monza, to Brands Hatch, and most recently to Interlagos in the 2025 edition, only two drivers have stood as winners—Zalenski in the first two, and Wilson in the most recent. Race Anywhere is a UK-based retailer that sells a wide range of sim racing equipment worldwide and is an approved UK Simagic distributor. It will showcase its own PRO SIMRIG cockpits and accessories at the Expo.
COG-SHH and SIMRIG focus on creating bespoke motion platform-enabled sim racing cockpits, with the former’s COG-SHH-3DOF ideal for virtual rally racers thanks to its unique two-seat layout that accommodates a co-driver.
Sweden-based SIMRIG also creates motion platform sim rigs, with its SR1, SR2 and SR3 cockpits offering professional-grade experiences to customers.

Today, Simucube announces that Simucube 3 Ultimate will be available to order on June 16. Priced at €2,679 excluding VAT, SC3 Ultimate is the pinnacle of the Simucube direct-drive line and is built for the final 1% of sim racing drivers. SC3 Ultimate was first announced alongside the Simucube 3 family in October 2025. It is now shipping, with first units available from June 16th, 2026. “When we started the Simucube 3 project, we knew 99% of our drivers would be completely satisfied with Sport and Pro. But 99 is not 100. SC3 Ultimate exists for the drivers who notice the things others don’t — not because they’re looking for them, but because they can feel them. When you are building at this level, you are not building a product. You are building an instrument.” —Antti Virta, Lead Hardware Engineer A new motor architecture At the core of SC3 Ultimate is a custom spoke-type IPM (Interior Permanent Magnet) motor, an architecture used in high-performance EV drivetrains and now engineered specifically for sim racing. The spoke-type geometry concentrates the magnetic field more densely than conventional SPM motors, delivering 35 Nm of peak torque at the highest response speed in the Simucube line, while running cooler and quieter under continuous load. Manufacturing the motor to the tolerances required demanded a purpose-built, temperature-controlled production environment. Every motor is tested against strict acceptance criteria for cogging and friction before it is cleared for assembly. Per-unit digital twin calibration Each SC3 Ultimate runs a software-based digital twin of itself. During manufacturing, thousands of data points are collected from that specific unit.
