Motorsport Games and Studio 397 have released a new update for Le Mans Ultimate aimed at keeping the simulation aligned with the reality of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Version 1.3.3 is now available and, while it is a relatively small patch within the current development cycle, it introduces several important additions related to the 2026 season, along with free content for all players. The update arrives at a key moment for the community, coinciding with the most important week on the endurance racing calendar. The developers’ goal is to ensure that players experience a version of Le Mans Ultimate that closely mirrors the event they are watching on television and following from the Circuit de la Sarthe. The 2026 Season Has Arrived in Le Mans Ultimate One of the main highlights of this update is the complete implementation of visual elements associated with the 2026 FIA WEC season. The art and track teams have refreshed the Le Mans circuit environment with updated signage, advertising, temporary structures, and visual details that reflect this year’s edition of the race. This allows the in-game experience to remain synchronized with the real-world event taking place this weekend. In addition, every team on the grid now features its official full-season 2026 livery. As a result, the cars players see on track match those currently competing in the championship. The developers also clarified that the special liveries used by some teams exclusively for the 24 Hours of Le Mans are not yet included in the game. However, those designs are expected to be added in a future update once the official assets become available. Technical Updates for the 2026 Hypercars One of the most notable examples is the 2026 Toyota TR010 Hybrid, which receives the aerodynamic and bodywork modifications introduced by the Japanese manufacturer

Golden Lap brings classic racing management to iOS and Android soon Racing, except it's stripped back to core mechanics only - Golden Lap is coming to iOS and Android - Focuses on team management, driver personalities, and race strategy - Try-before-you-buy model with full unlock at launch Sign a driver because their rich parents are bankrolling the team, then watch them tank your championship because they kept showing up tired on race day. Golden Lap doesn't sugarcoat what team management actually looks like. The sim comes from Funselektor, the studio behind Art of Rally and Absolute Drift, both of which took motorsport and stripped it back until the important bits were all that remained. Golden Lap does something similar, except you're not behind the wheel this time. You're the one deciding who gets to be. The setting is the golden era of open-wheel racing, which means unpredictable cars, improving safety measures, and a lot of variables you can't fully control. Budget gets split across drivers, support staff, car development, and sponsorships. You're also managing personalities, and that's where it gets interesting in ways a regular sim wouldn't. Your head engineer might be a nightmare to work with and still be worth keeping around. A driver might look perfect until race day hits. You're not just building a fast car - you're managing the people inside and around it, and those two things don't always want the same thing. The PC version already has a following, so this isn't a mobile-first release finding its feet. Funselektor and Noodlecake are bringing something that already works to a new platform, which tends to be a better starting position than most. Monetisation is try before you buy. Play a chunk for free, then unlock the full thing for $5.99 with no ads and no

2026 Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, Friday 05 June 2026 Today in numbers Laps: 132 (Pierre 69, Franco 63) KM: 440 (Pierre 230, Franco 210) Tyres: Pierre (C3, C4 and C5), Franco (C3, C4 and C5) Free Practice 1: Pierre P10 (1min 15.828secs); Franco P15 (1min 16.189secs) Free Practice 2: Pierre P11 (1min 14.497secs); Franco P15 (1min 14.758secs) Pierre Gasly: “It's good to be back in Monaco and it's always a pleasure to drive here. This year, with slightly smaller and lighter cars compared to previous seasons, it's definitely a different feeling and it's certainly still an enjoyable place to drive a Formula One car. We completed lots of laps today and it's always important for a smooth and consistent day in Monaco without too much interruption. A lot of our work in Practice in Monaco is focused on low fuel and Qualifying preparation. We were there or thereabouts inside the top ten for most of the day, so clearly we are in the mix for the points-scoring positions. We probably aren't as competitive here compared to some other tracks and there's definitely a few bits for us to work on as it's not been totally straightforward. We have a lot of work to do going through the data before another Practice session tomorrow as we aim to be as dialled in as possible ahead of the most important Qualifying session of the season.” Franco Colapinto: “It's been an okay day for us in Monaco, back in Europe and back to the normal Grand Prix schedule with two Friday Practice sessions. It's always a special place to drive, especially as Monaco is where I live now. I would say we have a bit to work on after today and certainly we need to find a step up in performance. It's

The 2026 Formula 1 Sim Racing World Championship delivered a dramatic finish as Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing secured a record-breaking fourth Constructors’ Championship and Alpine’s Otis Lawrence clinched his first Drivers’ Championship following a tense finale at the virtual Yas Marina Circuit. Both title battles went down to the wire at Formula 1’s Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, with Red Bull ultimately emerging on top of the teams’ standings to claim the largest share of the championship’s $750,000 prize pool. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Welsh standout Lawrence held off a late charge from Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports driver Ismael Fahssi to secure the Drivers’ crown in thrilling fashion. The 2026 campaign featured nine Formula 1 teams competing across 12 rounds held over four live events. The season opened at DreamHack Birmingham, where more than 50,000 fans attended the global esports and gaming festival, while the remaining events were staged at Formula 1’s purpose-built sim racing studio in Biggin Hill. The championship also continued its rapid growth in audience reach. Formula 1 reported that the DreamHack Birmingham opener attracted more than 3.9 million live viewers across three rounds of racing, marking an 85% increase from the opening event of the 2025 season. “The 2026 Formula 1 Sim Racing World Championship has provided an incredible season, marked by a number of exciting milestones that continue to elevate the series,” Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, said in a press release. “From racing in front of 50,000 passionate fans at DreamHack Birmingham, to hosting events in our own purpose-built facility at the Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, we’ve taken significant steps forward in delivering a truly world-class esports competition.” “Congratulations to Red Bull and Alpine’s Otis Lawrence on their outstanding achievements this season. - Fanatec FullForce coming to CSL DD and Gran Turismo DD Pro wheelbases - Firmware update will be free and will launch on 16th June Fanatec’s Vice-President and General Manager, Tobias Stelzer, has today revealed that CSL DD and Gran Turismo DD Pro owners can look forward to a free update that introduces FullForce compatibility to their wheelbases. FullForce is Fanatec’s proprietary force feedback protocol, which, in the company’s words, ‘fuses fidelity vibration cues with the core force feedback signal to deliver a more immersive driving experience’. Essentially, this allows sim developers to utilise subtle physics or audio-based vibrations to enhance immersion. As well as being compatible with PC sims via the CSL DD, this update could also offer Gran Turismo 7 players a better driving experience thanks to the Gran Turismo DD Pro wheelbase’s combined PC and PlayStation compatibility. It must be noted, however, that it’s up to game developers to implement the technology going forward, so there’s no guarantee every sim will take advantage of FullForce. More information about the FullForce rollout will be released next week, but Stelzer confirmed the free firmware update would be released on the 16th June 2026. A second-hand Xbox is not the usual starting point for a motorsport career. For Girlie Lukhele, it provided an entry into a world that has traditionally been difficult and expensive to access – especially for women. Through sim racing, she learned the techniques, discipline and focus needed for competitive driving long before she entered a real rally car. Today, she balances sim racing, motorsport and content creation, building an audience around a passion that began as a hobby and developed into something far bigger. Her rapid progress was underlined last month when Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa handed her a seat in its GR Cup Hot Seat programme at Zwartkops Raceway. Swapping rally stages for circuit racing, Lukhele qualified fifth in the GR Cup Media Challenge, before claiming two third-place finishes in her debut weekend. More significantly, the experience exposed her to the intensity of wheel-to-wheel racing and provided another stepping stone in a motorsport journey that began behind a simulator. In an interview immediately after the race, she told us about the costs of getting started, the role sim racing played in her development as a driver, and why access remains one of the biggest challenges facing aspiring racers in South Africa. Sheryl Goldstuck: What were the challenges you faced getting into sim racing? Was it similar to trying to break into real racing? Girlie Lukhele: Sim-racing was much easier to break into than actual motorsport. My biggest challenge in the beginning was the financial expense of sim-racing. I didn’t realize at the time how expensive sim-racing could be as a hobby, but I was determined to get into it despite that. I started out with a second-hand Xbox which I eventually had to upgrade in a few months’ time as many of the games I liked were being
